I think she is so messed up because her mother is very abusive actually. She is just starved for attention that is why she acts like such a drama queen all the time.

Don't get me wrong: I admire Denise with the utmost respect. However, she has been talking about this book for the past 10 years! I'm afraid that by the time it does find a publisher, will anyone even care?

I hate to say this, but I think one of the reasons why she is having such a hard time finding a publisher is because she's a has-been.Let's face it,the only people who would buy her book are us...the fans who remember her from her Prince days. The mainstream audience couldn't care less. She never really established herself as a big, successful celebrity.Ask a person on the street if they can name any of her other songs besides "Nasty Girl".Don't get me wrong,I personally would love to read her book. But she may have to go "independent" and publish it herself.

I don't think it's because Denise is a has-been, because I've seen many minor players get their book out. I hate to say it and someone said it earlier, the girl is whacked. The drugs really messed her up mentally. I sent her an e-mail long time ago about something she wrote on her website and I got back nothing but a bunch of looney God ravings. It sounds almost like she gave up one drug and replaced it with another -- God and while I don't doubt some people can get high on God, her tone was beyond fanatical. These are the type of "saved" folks I like to run from and pray they don't ever have children because they'll sure as hell fuck their minds up. Her book probably sounds the same way and many publishers probably don't find it marketable.
About reality shows -- I really do hate them and I don't like to admit that Flavor of Love I have watched. I know a lot of it is producer-driven and instigated so I find much of it contrived. But New York definitely acts like a substance abuser. That isn't acting. A gifted actress couldn't even pull that performance off. That girl is destined to be one of those chicks you see standing on a streetcorner in the hood with an old mayonnaise jar with beer in it cussing out all the people that drive by. Therapy can't even fix that shit because it's so ingrained in her personality. She talks just like my alcoholic aunt and even gestures like her. The only reason she's there is because we all stupid enough to watch and see what she pulls next. That's how I know Flavor of Love is rigged like all of the other reality shows. But who cares, we're watching and they all get paid. They should name the show "How Low Will Women Stoop to Get on TV" LQ
