Denise Vanity Matthews Update

Denise Matthews was on "the best of Praise" 9/15 on TBN. Cliffton Davis was the host. She talked about her body rejecting her kidney. How she no longer watches mainstream TV or Radio and that she mostly lives in silence eek She went on about how she preaches to everyone about the Lord. On a plane, in the restroom Blah Blah Blah. Then she talk about Blame it on Vanity. She's still looking for a sponsor/publisher.

She read a sample from the book and I have to say I it sounded awful. She over dramatize the story and left me and other in the room baffled eek .I wish I had the video to post on youtube for others to understand exactly what I'm talking about. Well, all I have to say is she needs to write in the new english so the average person will want to read her story. PS I just want to know about the Prince years up to her suriving a stroke.

So, now let us bow our heads and pray Kurt Loder hear about Denise's book problem and do a miracle on this project like he did with what's love got to do with it. lol

I'd like to see this, I'll be checking TBN to see if this episode will repeat.

Wow thank you for the update. Very interested in anything Denise Matthews. She kinda seems like she has her own way of communicating..well, that's Ms. Matthews I guess for ya.. wink ...maybe she should consider the possibility of getting a ghost writer to articulate her story better? Might not be a bad idea...but her being such a strong personality who stays true to her beliefs and message might not like her story being channelled through another...but it might make the book much more sucessful if that is what she wants.

Good luck Ms. Matthews! wave

I saw her read a bit of it before and it was so all over the place and filled with flamboyant long ass words that I ain't even sure she used correctly. It sounded like she wrote the shit while she was still on cocaine.

If Ms. Matthews is happy not watching tv or listening to the radio, then so be it. If her being a minister keeps her drug free, then I'm happy for her. I wish her the best in everything she does. biggrin

Hey I think it's cool that you admit to liking TV. razz If you like it, you like it... cool . I just can't stand the majority of it because it is so formulated and boring...I don't know if that is just something with getting older but my patience is running thin when it comes to stupidity. And just can't stand reality shows where people are yelling and fighting, it makes me ill when people are yelling and upset, not to mention it is just annoying watching people bitching at eachother and acting so immature...when I was younger I thought stuff like that was funny and ammusing but now I see that behavior as wasted energy. Life is too short be to acting so childish and making other people's lives stressful. I'd much rather spend my time reading, listening to music, working out, hanging with friends or shopping!!! razz I do love movies though...expecially going to one..my friend and I just saw the Illusionist and it was a really good movie! smile

Sorry, I know a lot of you are big 'Vanity' fans, but she seems a little 'off' and kind of ditzy. I wouldn't even buy her book.
