Ok Then here you go DJ Jedi: What Cd's are have you been listening to? Ingrid Chavez: I'm working on new material at the moment so mostly that, but before this project...The Rocanteurs (glossy), Midnite (soulful) and Iron & Wine (Poetic) DJ Jedi: Favorite All-Time Album? Ingrid Chavez: Wow, that's a hard one...my life seems to be broken down into periods of favorite albums. At the moment the album that defines this period is Iron & Wine 'The Creek Drank The Cradle'. Sam Beam's poetry speaks to me. DJ Jedi: What kinds of things do you do in your spare time? Ingrid Chavez: What spare time? Being a mommy...music is my spare time. DJ Jedi: Favorite Movie/TV Show? Ingrid Chavez: TV...Six Feet Under Movie...Lost In Translation DJ Jedi: Favorite Cartoon Character? Ingrid Chavez: Pepe Le Pew DJ Jedi: What are some of your new projects? Ingrid Chavez: I am working on two recording projects currently. One is with a guy out of Sacramento with Archytype Sounds and the other project is with my old band OVA. I am really excited about both of them because they are so different from each other and I love a creative challenge! DJ Jedi: How has your summer been? What have you been up to? Ingrid Chavez: Been busy working on music...I'm going to perform at SF Fashion week for Fashion Designer Richard Hallmarq in a couple of weeks. DJ Jedi: Of all the things you've done, what is it you are most proud of? Ingrid Chavez: I am most proud of stepping back from the public eye and raising my children...devoting myself to them 100%. DJ Jedi: What do you think of Internet Radio and it's place in the music industry? Ingrid Chavez: I think that Internet radio is the future. We are all so connected now. The real work of bringing an artist to the listener is being done through the internet. I personally don't turn on the radio... it's mind numbing to hear the same few songs over and over. I get almost 100% of my artist info online; itunes, mp3 players and Myspace have given radio and the record stores a run for their money. DJ Jedi: Favorite Place in the World? Ingrid Chavez: Outside of my bed...Ireland. The landscape is so enchanting. check out the link http://www.emancipationra...ngrid.html Business Manager to Cat Glover.

Cool q&a.
Iron & Wine are great. I met Ingrid in Minneapolis back in 1991, she was increadibly sweet, very affable. Pretty much exactly how you'd imagine her to be - kinda floaty and ethereal Here's a link to an older thread about her a few months back if anyone's interested: http://www.prince.org/msg/5/188044 Good to hear she is finally recording again.
