i understand completely. so many of us were sexually abused. nevr feel like you;re the only one and don't kick yourself for not telling your mom. it's all the past now and god has the power to heal all wounds and he has certainly healed me from my experience. i pray he has/will do the same for you.

I do understand Prince's response, even though it was insensitive and if that's what he did state. There's a difference of sharing a story vs reliving the past. Your past ISN'T the REAL YOU unless you still living it. Yes the experiences shape you but its not YOU. Robin, I'm wondering, by reading your responses and comments throughout this thread, have you sought traditional/alternative therapy for your healing? I'm just curious how you've gone about healing yourself from all of the hurts. ALSO, with Chocolatetiger and your vision for empowering women of color through their sexuality.....What is your plan to provide this as a means of "empowerment" without objectifying women and exploiting them yourself? It would seem that there's more opportunity for empowerment through your personal story of healing and overcoming (if you're there at this point) vs seeking so-called "empowerment through sexuality". There is something very powerful about subtlety and sensuality in a woman. But sometimes in abuse situations and our need for certain types of attention, overt sexuality is the choice we make. I understand nudity as an art form and even sex used in art but I think women today and especially women of color, don't need any more empowerment through sexuality but empowerment of self, mind, body and spirit. It can be a very exausting type of work but you seem to be fearless anyway so I'm sure you will get your life situated in no time. Ok, its time to leave the insanity behind.
Enough of the tender-hearted approach via the privacy of an orgnote. And I do hope I'm speaking from a Godly place..... This is all deeply ill. For one, to disclose all that you have Robin, demonstrates a need for attention, any attention. I think you've learned to use your trials to seek receive this need for attention. I think this is why you were hurt that Prince didn't want to hear about it. If Krystal asked you about being a dancer, "just simply say, yes, I'm now trying this out for various reasons" and leave it alone especially if telling the situation only is to bring about an emphatic response and doesn't edify anyone. If you want help or advise, then say that otherwise, there's too much disclosure going on. I believe that you've been abused and hurt and casted aside. Many of us on this site have also but we've also taken responsiblity for our healing. Seeking attention in this manner is still about trying to find love anywhere and from anyone. Yes, Jesus is a healer but he also about active healing. All I've seen from this thread is drama AND people taking advantage of your "openess" so they can find out any little piece of information about Prince. I told you in an orgnote that me and others are very willing to assist you in a healthy manner. I could care less if you licked the crack of Prince's ass daily, if you are a hurting sista. As I also stated in the orgnote, you really need to take a look at "Powerbaby" through Robin's eyes and question if you really like her. Power/Powerbaby needs to be put to rest for a minute. The woman just poured out her heart about being evicted, child support issues and your response was, "what do you think of it?" It also falls inline with you asking her what prince felt about her abuse. Who cares about prince when this woman IS disclosing all of this. You are looking very transparent.

I don't know you but I know what I see. Yes you do have a testimony but you also have to come out of it first. See the thing is that you're approaching this as some judgment upon you and its not. Its about me seeing ME some years ago thinking that my POWER lies in my sexuality. That's the abuse victim talking. You will have a great testimony but I haven't see you come out of anything yet. I still see you in the TEST on many levels. So there' s NOTHING sad about what I've said to you on this forum or in orgnotes. What's sad is that you aren't ready to hold the mirror up. None of what you've posted is about a testimony but about victimization. I think you WANT out. I just don't feel anything peaceful about where you're at...its all over the place. I've yet to hear a survivors mentality. I see someone seeking it though. Robin, everything I've said to you is said with love. No shade, no bs. So you seek peace in the right places.
