Boni Boyer I came across a website tribute to Prince's former keyboardist Boni Boyer. She would have been the same age as Prince. Does anyone know how/what she died of? I've been trying to find out, out of plain curiosity. | |

From what I heard, Boni Boyer died of a brain aneurysm (spelling?), which is a real shame. She was an excellent singer and a good friend of Sheila E's. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |

what u mite not no is...Prince put her away n style...and held an all nite jam session n her honor...
he came 2 Oakland unannounced just 4 that purpose. and after the funeral announced the jam. it was open 2 all who attended the funeral. which was not many. the jam was 4 sheer release and n honor of Boni. My sister's brother-n-law...a drummer said Prince was laid back that nite. he was just one of the boys. eye would have attended, but no one n my family knew eye liked Prince. eye only found out the next week when eye was telling the drummers wife about contacting Prince, and she said y didn't u just go 2 the jam session with Lee? Prince sat on a dumpy old couch, between takes, and chatted with anybody who approached him. he didn't even bring body guards. Not many bothered, he was just one of the boys. Around 2 or 3 only Prince and the diehards were there, a total of about thirty, ncluding all the jammers n a small nite lounge...still grooving, playing and singing, any and everything, till 6am. whereupon Prince thanked everyone 4 coming, and got n his white limo and left. | |

God Bless Boni Boyer she had a really good voice and was so cool during the Lovesexy tour. It as fun watching her on stage rock with Prince,Shelia, and Cat. But now there is Greg Boyer. Alright Greg. | |
