well, if she cant work a simple jean vest and t-shirt look lord help her. at this point its probably the lack of star synergy that gives her a failing grade with me. you look at someone like angela bassett or naomi campbell in their street clothes and in candid photos and they still look like stars. you see tamar, and she looks like plain jane with a too big afro wig on. That's why ppl hire stylist AND they use them for even hanging out with friends. My cousin is a stylist in NYC and she shops for ppl just to go to the gym.
The one thing I'm surely NOT doing is hating. that is truly laughable.
hell, I like the big ass fro... Tamar looks like she's always wearing a costume. Even if you ARE, there's a way to look so that you don't look like you don't know what you're doing. She looked awful at the BET awards, on the GMA's, etc. She is a young woman and we all have to fine our personal style and I think that's what is happening with Tamar. I can't find some pics and go...what the... So its not hateration. I think she needs to know what looks good on her body, what she can and can't wear, etc.
I would even give Beyonce credit for her personal style. She understands she has a curvy body, she knows her hips are wide, so she wears closes that work with what she has and what she doesn't. I think Tamar looks fine. She's chillin on the bus & she is matching. I mean she's wearing a wife beater with a cropped jacket with black pants. I really don't expect any artist to dress up everyday like there going to some type of function. Well, except for Prince I believe he's clean everyday. | |

We don't recognize what we need to 'camouflage' when we dress- like a girl with a gut with stretch marks who's running around in a bare midriff top, or a big @$$ in capris that are begging for mercy!! The young lady has a gorgeous voice, but the truth is, in the few appearances I've seen her in, I've disliked her clothes, too. They just don't fit her body type. thats why i posted the pic of angela...she's just kicking it in simple clothes but looks great. all tamar had to do was take off her wig and big ass hoops and she probably would have locked fine. Space for sale... | |

I agree i think she is trying to find her "look" thats why i was curious to what you thought her style should be? I meant "hating" the lighter sense of the word if that makes any sense to you, lol she has to keep it simple...the afro is a "busy" accessory of its own so down wear flashy earrings that will clash with the fro...nor should you wear clunky thick glasses...then she throws the vest on which breaks the look of the shirt (which is normally fine but when you have all the other breaks it just makes you look messy)... you are allowed "one" busy piece of clothing and thats it. when you start to add on and on it starts to look messy. thats what was wrong with her GMA outfit...it was too busy.
