The Time - debut CD ok, i know it's like one in the morning but i just got thru listening to this cd and want the org's opinion... which is funkier? Get It Up or The Stick?
The rhythm guitar on The Stick is so fuck!n sick, I'm going with The Stick. Just curious what other orgers think.....

Get it Up comes out blasting though. It shocks a dance floor into a funk face!

I've seen footage from their 1981 performance in the Roxy .
It opens with "The Stick". The lights are out , Jelly starts the beat with his sticks . Everytime the upbeat comes , Jelly's drumkit is lit up with flashlights around and under his kit . Then it's dark again , which heats up the adrenaline in the Roxy . You can see the whole drumkit vibin' furiously . After another flash , you suddenly hear Morris his voice rhyming : "Ohhh my stick , i just love my stick " . Now the gals in the audience begin to scream and chant along "OHHH , MY STICK ! , I JUST LOVE MY STICK !" Then after that last word the band explodes the room with Jam & Monte hitting some serious-@$$ synths . The bass-synth sounds ultra-heavy . Rare & tight stuff with a really underground layer .
