Associated artists' associated artist

Andre Cymore made some fantastic music with Jody Whatley.

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis did wonders for Janet Jackson.

Carmen Electra (I asume) helped create the Pussycat Dolls.

Michael B and Sonny T grooved with the Sons of the Almighty.

Has anybody heard Tommy Barbarella's group Greasy Meal?

Who else am I forgetting and were you or are you diggin' any of them?

I didn't listen to their entire album but I heard some samples and it looks very good. Too bad that the girls aren't well known yet because they are very unique in style and also they can play instruments. I think that one of the girls dad had produced Wendy and Lisa's Erotica album.

Wendy is a very excellent producer. I think she and some other guy forgot his name both produced the album.

I think you mean Eroica.

And yeah - Tony Berg was an engineer on that album, and is also Z Berg's father. All three of those girls have dad's in the biz. Charlotte Froom is producer Mitchell Froom's daughter and the other girl whose name is escaping me is Elvis Costello's daughter.

And, let's see . . .

Matt Fink is on an album you've never heard of by P. C. Munoz. But you should have heard of it, 'cause P. C. is really good.

Sheila is of course in Ringo Starr's All Star band right now. Oh, and duh of course she has the band C. O. E. D. going with some other alums.

I think I'm finally running out of steam. Aren't you glad for that???

You forgot about Lisa's piano involvement with Betty Lavette on her I've Got My Own Hell To Raise. I never got that album yet but I heard from a few people it is good. Also Doyle was involved in that project as well. Other than that Wendy just loves to work in the studio. It seems like Lisa enjoys doing the film scoring part more. But that is my speculation which I love to do when comes to Lisa and Wendy hehe.

Speaking of Susannah when in the hell she is going to release that solo album of hers? I been hearing about this for nearly ten years but no album as of yet. She can sing too and I heard her voice through Largo audio clips. smile And she can write songs too. So whats the hold up Suzie?

Jesse Johnson - Ta Mara and Da Krash

He also did work for Janet Jackson BEFORE Jam & Lewis. ALSO: He produced for Sue Ann Carwell. THEN there was a group called Kool Skool, which came to be AFTER Da Krash!!! Then there was a girl trio called Three Shades Brown which featured Kim Cage (his longtime back-up vocalist).

Haha

They were/are from U.City (outside of St. Louis, MO) where I grew up.

They were older than me but we (most of the members) went to the same high school.

**Here's a fun and totally useless fact: Members of Kool Skool/da Krash (in high school they were known as Prodigy) used to play with my ex, Jeff, who went on to play in The Time MANY years later!
At least one member of da Krash stil plays in the STL area semi-regularly.

OK I know that nobody really cares lol

you know your stuff, congrats thumbs up!

He also did a couple songs for Vanity (they were working on an entire album too), one for Paula Abdul, and at least one (that I know of) for Wendy & Lisa. Oh yeah, and Jesse also did some work for Janet WITH Jam & Lewis too (guitar on "Black Cat").

Andre created A LOT of GREAT music with (his wife) Jody. Andre also wrote some GOOD songs for Jermaine Stewart (a friend of Jody's -- remember his song "Jody"??) and several songs for Adam Ant.

not to forget Debbie Allen, Clarence Clemmons, Paula Abdul and some others which I (and probably a whole lot of other people) can't remember right now.
BTW, in addition to the 2 tracks on Janet's 2nd album, there is a third track from the same period. Called ' French Blue', it's a b-side.
