Wendy and Lisa behaved like cows in 86 The thought just struck me. Both W&L chose a truly fabulous moment to announce to Prince, their admittedly cantankerous employer and mentor, but still their mentor without whom they wouldn't have enjoyed neither the exposure or the oxygen of publicity - rather like Princess Diana without Charles in fact. They told the man they were thinking about leaving the Revolution whilst they were having dinner, how fucking civilized... I say it was just coz the ladies realized THE PURPLE GRAVY TRAIN WAS OVER following the universal merciless panning of Under The Cherry Moon and the commercial failure that followed the movie. Fact is they felt they had to jump off a rapidly sinking ship. How brave of them | |

No, Prince disbanded The Revolution at the END of the Parade tour (last date in Yokohama). Then a press announcement was made when he fired their asses.
