You have it backwards. Every label knows the 14-34 age group is no longer buying jack shit. THEY ARE DOWNLOADING. They keep hammering at the youth because its always been procedure to cultivate new consumers because the old ones DIE OFF. Right now, the CD buying public are 25+ years old. That's why there's so much turmoil in the industry and that's probably why WB is mering with EMI and why Clear Channel is buying venues like how they just recently acquired the House Of Blues chain under their other moniker - Live Nation. But I guess your as knew that, right? Seeing as how you know EVERYTHING. You are right about one thing; The Time couldn't get signed if gold notes floated from their instruments when they played. They don't draw new consumers. [Edited 7/10/06 21:57pm]

Jimmy Jam once said half-jokingly that the Time will release a new album as soon as Prince comes up with some songs. Now that he's a JW that will never happen of course, but I can see Jimmy & Terry taking over the writing and production reins. They are the only people I would trust with a new Time record. Even if Jam/Lewis were interested in producing the next album, they'll be wasting their time in general because Jesse Johnson (to my understanding) doesn't want to be under the spotlight anymore. Watching Morris Day without Jesse Johnson is like watch Steven Tyler without Joe Perry.....IT AIN'T RIGHT!!!!!
