Why did Apollonia Kotero a.k.a Patricia Kotero leave the Prince camp and stop working with Prince? What about Vanity a.k.a. Denise Matthews? What is former Prince protege Cat Glover up to these days?

From what I remember about Apollonia, at the end of the Purple Rain tour, she was done. There wasn't an additional project being considered with Prince and her work was finished. At the end of the tour, after the final show, Brenda Bennett (singer for Apollonia 6) sat there and thought "what now?" Apollonia would go thru a similar feeling and there was a quote by her that said something like, 'there wasn't much of a future dressing up in lingerie for a living' or something like that. The Falcon Crest offer, I think, came AFTER she left Prince's employ.

Cat... I have no real idea other than when he is done with something or someone, they are gone. Cat had filled her roll for SOTT and LoveSexy, but he went in a new direction and like so many people that he was finished with (Wendy, Lisa, Bobby Z, Fink... basically EVERYONE he has worked with if you think about it), he dropped her and didn't look back. Prince doesn't seem to be sentimental about that. What works best for Prince is what he wants, and he has no interest in outliving that... hence the lack of the Revolution reunion work.

Not sure how many of these songs really exist and some could be fake,but the album was definitely being planned.However,Cat had other ideas."He really wanted me to hang around,he really did",she said.Instead,she left the Prince camp in early 1989,right after the Lovesexy tour,and started a new album from scratch (with no Prince involvement).By the end of that year,her single "Catwoman" was in stores but it bombed big time and the album never materialized.
