The video is clearly from the Atlanta Musicology show (which, presumably, means that show was semi-professionally recorded - along with every other show).

Jesusssss
SJ1600, I second that motion. It's a frikkin Vanity (no pun intended) piece. It would be nice if he'd revert to using THE TIME (as it was originally intended!) and better include permanent band members. Damn this irks me. Those guys all work super hard- Jerome, Bean and Monte. And those three have been with him for years... So WTF? I'll make one last statement: though talented and a good live performer, Morris isn't the only one in that act and should remember that without everybody else, he'd be in North MPLS, holding down a day job, trying to make ends meet. Maybe drumming in cover acts or- if he were lucky- Dr. Mambo's. If anybody else is reading this who sees or knows those guys tell them to a) give him sh*t about the site b) get a better web designer! c) change the damn set list already d) do SOMETHING new for their 25th anniversary (which is coming up pretty soon!) e) start selling merch at shows. WHY CAN'T I EVER GET A 'TIME' T-SHIRT *ANY* TIME I'VE BEEN TO SEE THEM??? Argggggh. [Edited 6/16/06 14:21pm] Nasty girls, dance, dance, DANCE!

I understand where you're coming from (and I also prefer for the group to be called "The Time", not "Morris Day and The Time") but please don't forget that when Morris wrote Partyup anonymously for Prince, that made him the ONLY person guaranteed to be signed to a WB recording deal as Prince's first released side project. That said, much props to all the other guys - every original member is extremely talented. I suspect they are using Morris Day in the name of the band partially because it helps people who were never serious fans of the group remember who the band "The Time" is. (As hard as that is for us to believe because we could never ever forget who The Time is.)

I wish it gave some sense of what it costs to book them.
I have a "big" B-day coming up and I keep telling my bf he needs to start researching what Sheila, Patti Labelle or Jennifer HOlliday charge, but maybe The Time would be more like it! I mean they're doing free gigs so maybe they are reasonable! More likley I'll have to wait another 10 or 20 years!

Really??? hmmmmm..... that could be doable..... although all those flights will be more than that..... (you notice Morris gets 1st class but the rest of the band flies coach with the crew!). What I really want to know is what Sheila charges. That is my dream.....!!!

But have y'all read the rider? Morris gets it all first class while everyone else shares and rides coach!

It looks promising-everything is still coming soon though, but thanks for the information .
