I was wondering if you noticed any change in Prince around Mayte? Did you think she was hot? I have read a couple of books and they said he was immensely controlling of her; did you see this? Michael - let me answer this one.. 1. yes, every man changes when his wife is around...it's a fear thing. 2. yes Michael thought she was hot..that's a dumb question. Stevie Wonder thinks she is hot too. 3. That's even dumber..she barely said anything unless Prince looked at her with that 'it's ok' nod. Come on..it really becomes apparent when you see the footage of her and TOmmy Lee. She's outgoing...with Prince she seemed so shy. Prince is the man but his weakness is that he does not seem like an easy going type...watching him play with TOm petty and the other oldies was a breath of fresh air as he wouldn't have even considered it years ago. It was neat to see him smoke those guys...it's like they were standing still while he was breaking the sprint record...awesome..anyway, i'm rambling.

Prince is the man but his weakness is that he does not seem like an easy going type.... Prince obviously just has a strong personality. People like that tend to overshadow others.

Thanks again Myrto i have worked on new material for sons of almighty.. no plans for release, though.. dr. mambo's combo doesn't have the motivation to put something out.. it's just a group of people that get together to play the music they wanna play.. it's not really meant to be more than that.. michael b.

yes, it's tiring.. michael b. How would you and the rest of the band handle 24+ hour recording sessions? Why do you think Prince did that, was it that he was insprired and wanted to finish the ideas he had? Did you guys work on just one song during that long of a session or several songs? Michael,
Here is a what if for you... What if one day down the road you do not have any particular obligations and Prince and Soul Asylum both ask you to go out on tour with them at the same time? Who would you choose? "Always blessings, never losses......"

Michael,
You seemed to be almost constantly recording in your time with Prince. When you recorded with him, were the songs recorded for a particular album/project or did you just recored song after song that he later choose from to put out an album? "Always blessings, never losses......"

Hello Michael, thanks for spending some of your time here.
Can you give me your opinion of Jef Lee Johnson? his reputation as a guitarist and musician is huge, but I wanna hear it from someone who has worked with him. Thanks.

Speaking of which, (if you haven't already) please share how the project News From the Jungle came to be, or any interesting anecdotes from these sessions? Also, outside of eBay, where can I find some funky ass loops these days?

I was wondering if Prince ever talked about any other musicians who were out at the time? Also; Do know why there were no guitar solos on 'symbol'? Who played bass on sexy mf? Prince is very anti- drugs but did he mind people having a joint now and then?

Hi Mike,
What advice would you give someone in there 30s who, whilst having a major passion for music and strong desire to learn an instrument, is put off learning as they believe it is to late to start all that? I keep harping on to a friend of mine who wishes to learn guitar and drums that it's never too late. But he just thinks it will be in vein as he'll be too old to join a band with the limited experience when he finally reaches a standard. I'm banging my head against a brick wall with this guy. ----------
AND I GOTTA ALOTTA BUTTA 2 GO!
