The Twinz were on Australian Idol Althom posted this on hq. It's from the Daily Telegraph:
Princely living for the fallen twin idols May 27, 2006 BOMBING out of Australian Idol has paid off for Sydney twins Maya and Nandy McClean, who are now living a superstar existence as rocker Prince's latest showgirls. The McClean sisters haven't looked back since controversially leaving the reality talent show in 2004, when a dummy spit ensued after Maya got through to the Top 30 and Nandy didn't. Now the newest pair to join Prince's purple reign, the girls have scored several serious touchdowns since their Idol days. Following their sultry performance's alongside the singer at this year's Brit Awards, the sisters -- known as The Twinz -- will tonight embark on a series of exclusive Prince shows at the Empire Ballroom in Las Vegas. For $411, just 1500 fans will gain access to Prince's Club 3121, named after his recent hit release. The hyped shows come just weeks after The Twinz shook their stuff at a private show hosted by Prince at his West Hollywood mansion, where the likes of Bruce Willis, Sharon Stone and Jude Law partied like it was 1999. It sure is a long way from Channel 10's Idol studios at North Ryde. "On Australian Idol they showed immense talent, so it's no surprise they are doing so well now," an Idol insider told Confidential yesterday. In their search for stardom, the twins had roles in Moulin Rouge and TV series Above The Law. Late last year the sisters left Sydney for Los Angeles, where they caught Prince's eye at an audition for a music video. After being cast, the pop king asked the girls to join his band. --- Must have felt great to after having been dissed by an Idol jury be on an Idol show again, now as Prince's dancers! And it's a possible explanation to why P did the show after all. btw, I think I'll have to watch Moulin Rouge again, carefully... [Edited 5/29/06 2:53am]

Like "I won't go anywhere without my twin, if u don't want her u can't choose me!" That was obviously a good move. Life is full of surprises.

Life is full of surprises. not bitching to the judges or anything, but when one got through to the top 100 and the other didn't, Nandy could not keep her disappointment to herself and made Maya feel so bad about deserting her that she pulled out of the comp.

Nice with such a "supportive" sister. She can't complain now.

I think they did the right thing, they are a very marketable product - they were both very good singers, but on the day Nandy seemed much more nervous
