Vanity/Pussycat Dolls? How many of you think The Pussy Cat Dolls have copied off Vanity 6? The lead singer looks just like Vanity, and the beat of "Don't Cha" sounds like that of "When Doves Cry." No disrepect to the Pussy Cat Dolls, I just would like people to still remember Vanity 6, "Nasty Girl." | |

A LOT of modern music sounds like Prince!!!!! That's who wrote "Nasty Girl". And Cee-Lo wrote "Don't Cha", FIRST for a little-known singer named Tori Alamaze. It didn't do JACKS**T!!! THEN along come the Pussy Cat Dolls who are linked to Carmen Electra. Add a little Busta Rhymes, and we have a PHENOMENON!!! Tha truth is tha truth. No hating here!!!! And hey: maybe they WERE influenced by the whole Mpls vibe. But WHO ISN'T????? | |

Vanity 6 were straight up hookers, not a PG-13 simulation. They were more edgy and they didn't skirt around the issue. When I look at a Pussycat Dolls video, it does remind me more of the Spice Girls. | |
