now the cd is milk & honey. now it is Tamar Davis. that's fine. but if they held up the release of her album to add that piece o' crap song i just don't know what to say. i know she knows that is an awful song. she knows that. if she don't want prince to know she knows it, i understand. but i know that she knows that holla & shout is (i am trying real hard to be positive) un-good.

She should have been called Tamar Davis from point one bacuse a few of us remember Tamar Braxton (who simply went by the name Tamar) from back in the mid 90's. Even Rhapsody already has the two of them mixed up. Tamar's "Beautiful, Loved..." is listed right alongside Tamar Braxtons album.

I'm ok with both song. This album's gonna be fine IMO. Not a masterpiece like Chaka's"Come 2 My House", but ok anyway.

If the album is going to be released next month, then when is the single going to be released? What about a video, interviews, promotional photos, etc???

Seems like there is no promotion outside of Prince's fan-base.

It definitely sounds like En Vogue...although I wouldn't count on the "kids today" knowing that...I mean, some of the people on here said that 3121 was Prince ripping off Pharrell (obviously Pharrell learned from Prince) so some people might think it's a fresh sound.

After seeing her in concert and hearing BLB, I thought Tamar had the potential to be successful, but I'm getting a bit skeptical--the album post-ponement, title/cover change ( ), and the name change--I think that by the time the album drops people are just going to be confused.

I feel bad for her. She should have done her homework--unfortunatley, based on history, working with Prince on your own album is often the surest way into obscurity...

That "Holla and Shout" song is crap.If this is what the rest of her album will sound like,it's already headed to the markdown bins.She has a great voice,but she needs stronger material.

does anyone know how many of the songs on Tamar were written/co written by Prince?

Folks really thought that I was a jealous female when in actuality P's music and talent set my bar really high. Just don't feel like enduring another flop of a sidekick which is what Project Tamar is feeling like to me.
