OMG. The first time I heard this -- first several times actually, I thought it was "Bee Sting."

ANYWAY, I love it!!! Is it really based on a nursery rhyme? I've never heard it before
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark

I'm beginning to suspect folks are mentioning this material to ummm ** cough brag cough ** that they've got rare stuff. I know the instant I bite the bait and send an orgnote requesting some of this material, I'll get a sermon about how unfair it is to "The Girls" to share it.

Its Viste from the Friendly Fire sessions...err, I mean Trevor Horn sessions..

and bsk3601, i wouldnt sweat the unreleased stuff...most fans share the stuff for free in order to prevent the bootleggers from making dough off of it...its just the still available for purchase stuff (ie, all their albums) which folks tend to poo poo file sharing...

head over to girlbroslandia.org and ask for assistance..im sure someone would be more then happy to help out your collection...

I really like Friendly Fire...I wish they released this...I know they said it was simply taking too long and Trevor Horn was taking away any soul the songs might have had...but its still a great album. The Guise of Love, Digging to China, Madmen Swim Upstream...and yes...Viste...are all top tunes.

I think it's a Campfire girls song.

The story I heard (where? I can't remember, dammit!!) was that an old friend of theirs had a dream that W&L were playing a huge stadium and that they were perfoming Viste as a big call and response song, and so they recorded it for her birthday . . .

Not so much. I just heard the song for the first time last year, and when it popped up in my itunes the day i created this thread, I wrote about it, because I wanted to gush about a song that makes me smile. The same way I did in a thread about the Apollonia 6 song "A Million Miles" -- talk about a song I like with other people who may also know the song.

In short: starting a conversation, not offering bait, and not preaching.
