The track " Driving Me Wild " ( 1985 )

Ebonee Webb and Bobby Nunn had that sound before Prince became huge.

Well , i'm not really shure .
prince used his falcetto very early around the end of the 70's .
During those years Bobby was playing his first sessions as guest with Rick James ,
and later with his brother Billy in their own band SPLENDOR , which was produced by Philip Bailey and with that recognisable EW&F-sound .

EBONEE WEBB was discovered in the end 70's by jazz-flutist NOEL POINTER , who took them on tour and where they recorded 2 albums and a few singles from that on a small label called Seven Seas .
Those albums and singles have become hard to find ... even in Japan .
Their sound on these albums was more disco-oriented than their later funk in the 80's.

prince his trademark-MNPLS-sound became already clear around 1980 .
1 or 2 years later Ebonee & Bobby followed ... at least that's how i see it square

Especially in songs like thev title-track and " Sex Maniac " with the prince falcetto .
" Do You Look That Good In The Morning " is great too ( 1983 )

Some more falcetto-style ( 1983 )

( 1985 )

SEVEN "O" - She's Just Too Much ( 1987 )

omg ... she waz ?!
DANG , were any photos taken from those recording-sessions which you've seen ?

Here's another Minneapolis-sounding group with keyboard-wiz Chuckii Booker ,
who later played with Tease and eventually with a few Tease-fellas as support-act/backing-band on Janet's " Rhythm Nation " Tour .

Hey thanx in advance for your effort thumbs up!

Awyeah , man i've played those Chuckii albums a zillion of times .
His synth-chops were just outrageous !
In the same year as that Chill-production , he layed some serious MNPLS-loops on the Tease album at Epic Records .
