Think you got what it takes to create George Clinton & The P-Funk Allstars' Website? If so then we (they) are looking for you!

All entrants should build their site using the text and functionalities currently displayed at www.georgeclinton.com.

The site must include these pages: HOME, NEWS, TOUR, BIO, LINKS, CONTACT, FAN CLUB. To increase their chance of success, entrants may also design optional pages such as: STORE, ART, PHOTOS, DOWNLOAD, MULTIMEDIA, etc.

Each submission will be judged by the following criteria: creativity, design, theme, and technicality.

All entrants must submit their design together with the underlying code.

All submissions remain the property of the entrants. The winning submission will become the property of George Clinton & The P-Funk Allstars. The Winning Designer must sign a copyright assignment upon receiving the prize. If the Winning Designer is under the age of 18, his parent or guardian must sign and collect on his/her behalf.

All submissions will be judged by a team of self-proclaimed experts. George Clinton himself will select the Winning Design.

George Clinton & The P-Funk Allstars assume no responsibility if for any reason the submitted website cannot be viewed or is not capable of running as planned.

All submissions must be original, and by entering this contest the entrant hereby asserts that nothing in the submission entry infringes on any copyrights or trademarks, or violates any person’s rights of privacy or publicity.

- PRIZES -

Winning Design: Cash prize of $500 and top credit as the designer of the site, including a link to your own self-promotional home page.

First, Second and Third Runners Up: A 1-year free membership to the George Clinton Fan Club launching this fall, which will include free CDs, exclusive downloads, autographed memorabilia, priority concert ticketing, and other surprises!

- CONTEST DATES -

The contest runs from September 1, 2002 until midnight October 13, 2002. Any submissions after October 13, 2002 will be considered ineligible and therefore denied. Judging will commence immediately, and winners will be announced on October 21, 2002. If no qualifying submission is provided, no contest winner will be announced obviously, so take your time and do your submitted design right!

$500 ain't a lot of money for the work I normally put into a website but having your name on 'ol George's official site would be quite creditable.

Even if he do got some funky odor.

Wonder if I posted this in the wrong forum.

If it were anyone else besides GC, i'd think it was a clever way to get someone to design your website at a cheap cost -$500.
But who cares, it's "Dr Funkenstein" George Clinton.
