I love that he had to hire a drummer, when he is in fact, a drummer. Well, supposedly he is, anyways. Hopefully, Sheila will join Prince's tour down the road.

Hey, Ringo gets a lot of flack (including from me), but the great Michael B. and others say that Ringo was the original in the 'new' style of drumming, and he's one of the greats. I saw his show with Sheila E. in MPLS back in 2001 (and drove by PP afterwards in case Sheila and Prince wanted to get together and throw me a show), and the reason she plays is so he can be out front singing. When the other members of the band are singing, Ringo plays. Now his singing - that deserves some flack...

I saw Michael say that in the current Associated Artists thread, but it was common knowledge within the Beatles themselves that Ringo wasn't very good. Paul McCartney actually had to do the drumming in some cases. I think it's more likely that drummers who like Ringo are people who are actually fans of the Beatles, so that carries over into being a fan on Ringo's. That's my 2 cents anyways.
