More than likely, these songs were demoed being that all of the musicians playing in the "reformed" lineup with The Time are listed as "songwriters." U see what ended up happening, Morris and The Time finally released an album, what, last year? And all of the songs were credited to the o.g. members of The Time ONLY. Morris, Jellybean, Monte and Jerome. I've known Rob Grisset since we were in high school and the only song that he penned with Morris was the song I played on from 95 and that is "Skirt". SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

So, you really don't know anything about this then...

So, you really don't know anything about this then... Bobby, (Rob Grisset) would have told me if he had co-wrote anything else with, not only Morris, but with The Time. Just going on what he said, Skirt was the only thing. Since all of the actual players were listed as co-writers, leads to that the songs were quite possibly demoes, listing them as actual writers. That practice happens quite often with a leader of a unit versus an actual "band" were all the members have equal status in the band. Again, take the released Morris and The Time album, non of the cats who played with Morris, except for the o.g.'s, were credited on the album. Similar thing with The Rebels, P's side band featuring his band members, 78-80. That was hooked up mainly so the other members like Andre and Dez could have more involvement with the songwriting and just as crucial, the credit. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. I can dig it, Mike. Not trying to say that it doesn't exist, just giving a different take on what "may" have went down. It would be cool if u could get your hands on it and check it out. Hell, it might be better than the album Morris ended up releasing. If it has Funkadelic's cover on there, u already have my vote! SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Note the website says Incomplete credits and mentions "Possible writing credits". I tend to think the credits as listed are a "guesstimate" by the site creator rather than any official word trickling down... It was stated several times in the late 90's interviews about a possible, finished, album IIRC.

I called up Bobby yesterday (Wed) specifically to tell him about this album and to ask him what was up with it. He said that they, in fact, did cut some things, but the labels were more interested in having more "known" writers involved IF the project would be under Morris and The Time. By the time the album came out last year, Bobby had already split from the touring band. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

I would have to dig around to find the exact date, but I'm pretty sure it was a 99 show(even though it appears that Morris dubbed a new date for the cadilac on COOL) The new tracks did not have jellybean and Monte on them, but Freeze and Tori contributed
