What is the deal with Mr. Hayes? How has he lasted so long? I'm wondering.. .seems like Mr. Hayes has lasted all these years, through all of Prince's incarnations.
For most people, apart from Sheila, they have a time and then they're out of there. I know that they've been friends forever -- I think he was best man when P married Mayte... But, as we know, the road is littered with people that P's chucked aside. Does anyone know? Is he that great a keyboardist? Come here, babe.. yeah... | |

Morris is a really good friend to Prince and I think Prince really appreciates that.
Morris is a really super nice, genuinely nice guy. And he's great on the keys. | |

He is indeed a very nice person. His easygoing manner, and great keyboard skills probably put Prince at ease. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. | |

Morris is a bad ass keyboard player. You have to understand the function of the members in a band. Renato is a bad as PIANIST but that doesn't mean he's good at or even interested in things like triggering sequenced parts, arranging vocal samples, understanding the MIDI setup to the fullest extent, etc. Morris is good at that as well as being a competent player. Renato seems like the "just plug me in and let me play" type. If that's the case, you NEED someone like Morris for a Prince show. He's the new "Dr. Fink". [Edited 3/24/06 21:02pm] | |

Another correction: Renato is better...miles better! "Better" is relative....sometimes, it´s not about being "better"...besides, I think Morris is a GREAT musician, believe me, I know. And he is the most humble person I´ve ever met, in fact he´s so humble that he might even agree with you. He´s one of the nicest, most interesting and friendliest persons I´ve ever had the pleasure to spend time with, communicating with him is a sheer pleasure because he´s very smart and articulate, yet modest and down to earth.
