How do you like Tamar as back-up vocals to Prince? Or do you miss Rosie Gaines, Bonnie Boyer, Sheila E.?? I'm not fond of these songs in 3121 with her as back-up vocals. I don't know if it's the voice or it's just the style of singing that I'm not fond of. I'm not loving this album as much as I try to. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

I far prefer her voice to any of the female co-lead vocalists he's had since, well, the late 80s. | |

I honestly Like it she blends well with him. And shelia background vocals for some reason i always found annoying except for Erotic City. In the beginning God Made The sea, But on the 7th day he made me. Well prince On the 11th day he made me now wat LOL | |

I think she adds to the songs. She's great. I can't say anything bad about those you mentioned above. They all added their unique flavor to the songs. The same with Tamar.  | |

The woman is HOT,,,,, Not only that (I think she's absolutely gorgeous!!), but she has good chemistry with P...and it's evident in the music they produce together. I think she can be a bonafide relevant star in the business with Prince's assistance. And, I like the energy that Prince has nowadays having a new protege. It showed in the SNL performances... | |

Her background vocals remind me of Wendy and Lisa, especially on Incense and Candles. | |

Her background vocals remind me of Wendy and Lisa, especially on Incense and Candles. Tamar has a very smooth voice and it blends well w/P. She actually compliments him very well and makes the songs better. IMO Stand Up! Everybody, this is your life!

I like her. I like Rosie and Sheila too. It depends on the time. Rosie and Sheila wouldn't necessarily "work" w/this album. | |

i think she is a really good singer.
But as with all Prince Protege i hope she is prepared to be let down. I hope im wrong though. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I think after the performance of Beyonce and Prnce at the Grammys a couple of years ago, Prince found a vocalist in Tamar who has similar vocals like Beyonce, because that's what she reminds me of. "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."
