He came out with an album that looked and sounded like Prince during the peak of Purple Rain. The album is called Circuitry i think. He had a minor hit with his first single from that album.

Yeah, but it's still not Prince related. He looked like he came staight outta Ready For The World. Right now the only song I remember from the album is Lucy Get Loose.

You must be thinking of something else. The song was called "Cold Tears" and sounded like Prince and sounded more like a Prince work than any of his protoges' at the time

Nah, I'm not confusin' him with some1 else! I no who Sam Bostic is. He had them shoulder length jheri curls ala Ready For The World (actually like almost any1 'round that era). I've got his album (dunno how much he's got). Dun feel like diggin' it up, tho.....2 much freakin' hassle. Some songs might have sounded Prince like, but none of 'm really impressed me. That's Y I only remember 1 title.
Any1 else on Sam Bostic?

I thought I was the only person in the world who had the "Circuitry" LP. I hate to say it but this whole LP is a JOKE. I heard it right around the time "A.T.W.I.A.D" came out. The LP is hilarious and I guess his management was trying to cash in on the "Prince" movement by making him try to sound and look like 1984 Prince. He even tries to take some Prince titles ("When You Were Mine") and use them in his own songs.
My friends and I thought Giorgio was bad enough, but this dude (Sam Bostic) took the cake. We used to crack up listening to that LP. But it probably wasn't his fault, probably his management. Never heard from him again.
