What is Tony M. doing? Does anyone know what Tony M. is doing these days? He is such a great talent, and really made the NPG an awesome force. His presence on the "Goldnigga" CD was very impressive. His style of rap really blended quite well with the music of Prince and the former musicians of the NPG. Is he doing anything solo?

You beat me to it. He's the least talented person with whom Prince ever worked. I would have rather had Bobcat Goldthwait in the NPG than that fucking loser.I hope he was hit by a truck. A really, really big truck. [This message was edited Wed Jul 10 16:13:21 PDT 2002 by uglybrowneyes]

You obviously did not listen to the Goldnigga CD, or songs like Sexy MF and My Name is Prince !! Trust me. Prince selected Tony M. because he had a new and creative flavor to add to the NPG. And I might add, he is a great rapper. A novice of Princes' music like yourself should buy the albums/cd's in which Tony M. was on (which you obviously don't own) and take a good listen, then apologize to the group for your ignorance. I would like to know this answer. Tony was cool rapping with Damon and Kirk. The Gold Nigga song was so good and I liked all of the guys dancing and singing Johnny. That was a fun tour also Symbol time.

Hey Bo, don't get so defensive. Attack me if you will, but, I, like you, merely stated an opinion. You like Tony M. I can't stand the worthless piece of shit. Yes, Prince added Tony, but also ditched his talentless ass just as quickly. Post a thread called: "Tony M., Cool or not?" and see how people agree with you. Not many. The fact that you had to author this thread should be proof enough. Most of us try to forget the Tony M. era. It's right up there with the Malcolm Jamal Warner rap. See, I know something, BoBo! For the record, I have so many Prince cd's, I wipe my ass with them! Any disc with Tony M. on them are the first in line. I'll send them to you when I'm finished. Next, I'd like you to start a thread asking: "Atlanta Bliss' ponytail...Cool or not?" No wonder they lock threads around here. Now for the apology. Group, I'm sorry Bo posted such a stupid fucking thread.

Holy fucking shit on a burning stick!!! Tony M. must have been the shittiest rapper ever in the long and storied history of shitty rappers! They could have used him to cure inner-city youth of their love for rap if they would have promoted him right...

You know what, Bo? Maybe I was wrong. Now that I have shed my ignorance, I've come to believe that Jughead does actually prove Tony's "talent". I'm sorry, but my delirious condition must have been caused by listening to Goldnigga too many times.

As I said before, I thought that he was a good addition to the NPG, and I would like to know what he is currently involved in. I will digress by saying again that Prince chose him to be a part of the NPG for a reason. This reason is that he had something positive to contribute to the chemistry of the group. As a result, he was included in some of the greatest music that Prince has put out. Peace and Love It's A Real Mother For Ya

Well,I'm fast becoming "The King Of Unpopular Opinions" around here...lol...but I like Tony M.He's not the world's greatest rapper, but I like what he brought to the Prince sound of 1991-93.As many of you know (since I say it sooo often...lol),the 'Love Symbol' CD is my favorite Prince album of the 90s and Tony had alot to do with that.I love his contributions on songs like "Sexy MF","The Maxx" and "Gett Off".He's not a "distraction",he ADDS to the songs and gives them a "street/hip-hop" feel that is now sorely missing from much of Prince's recent music.
Go ahead, flame me now.I'm stickin' to my guns though

But Cal, hun, sweetz...there is a REASON... He might not deserve all the bodily harm things, but all the non complimantary things... He was, in my eyes, a HUGE miscalculation on Prince's side. Wish Doeg E. Fresh would do some more rap based things with Prince. Or Prince with De La Soul. Chaka enjoyed it...

Tony M ruined Prince's sound, and some would argue, career.
And then, he tried to sue Prince after his falling out with the man whilst they were touring La Coruna in Spain. Tony claimed money for his "contribution" to masterpieces such as 'Jughead' and others that escape my mind at the moment. Both he and Levi Seacer Jr. took Prince to court over unpaid royalties. The money they both got from that court case was barely enough to cover their legal costs. Just like other useless prototypes before him (namely Greg Brooks and Wally Safford) Tony M is nothing more than a thug a complete waste of body hair. "You don't frighten us, English pig dogs. Go and boil your bottoms, sons of a silly person."

a little harsh... there is only one person who "ruined" Prince's career. Tony sounds OK to me. [This message was edited Mon Aug 5 4:10:37 PDT 2002 by TheSkinMechanic]
