Many of you remember last year all the speculation swirling around Prince, Liza Hernandez and his reported trip to Panama. Basically Hernandez occupied the slot currently taken by Tamar on Prince fan boards as speculation ran wild that she was Prince's latest f-buddy and that Prince and Mani were over. Unfortunately I'm Spanish-illiterate, so I'll have to take Yace's word on his translation of the Spanish-language sites he linked, which is the issue with all the sites that have info on this project so far. If our Spanish-speaking friends would be so kind as to bookmark this thread (with no search function on this site it's sure to be buried otherwise) and post links and translations whenever you find something on Liza Lena in the Latin press it would be very much appreciated. It may be a dead project, as so many things Prince has become involved in have never come to fruition. It may also be some time before anything happens with Liza Lena even if it isn't, because I'm sure Prince wants to concentrate on establishing Tamar right now. I hope this is true. I miss the old Prince-svengali days. I hope he has more proteges on the way. Maybe even a similar version of Mazarati or the Time. Although I doubt his ego would go there again... | |

Looks like Mr. Nelson was a hard working brother in 2005. That Musicology Tour money has allowed him to fund several projects, which is always a plus for those of us that are truly fans of his music. I hope to hear more about this project.  [Edited 3/4/06 19:01pm] | |

Thanks to Cateto over at HQ, more news on the Liza Lena front. Apparently all the talk about a 3121 movie shooting last year in Panama wasn't totally bunk, as Paisley Park registered a 3121movie.com domain name. Not that anything will ever come of it, and I certainly wouldn't expect it in April, but this shows at least at one time there was an intended film to go along with this project. Someone posted a scan showing the 3121 CD saying 3121-The Music (I don't have my copy yet) and there is speculation that might be a hint to another part of the project. But at this point, who knows?
