The Girls (Andre Cymone's Proteges) I recently got this album and it's hot. Very new wave synthy stuff. They are very much like Vanity 6 or Apollonia 6 but never had any hits. Anyone else know about them?? It's pretty rare shit! | |

Yeah I have it and I think it's sorry! It's no where near Vanity6 or Apples6. I know u got a jones for ole boy Dre', but nah...I don't think it's hittin'. Dre' said that P got his idea of a girls group from him. Maybe so... SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

You know if you wait long enough, all the topics will be regurgitated on the board. When I joined awhile back, I posted one about the Girls. I had never actually heard any of their tunes. A member was gracious enough to let me listen to some of the songs at his disposal. I liked their stuff. Especailly S-E-S-E-X! They could really sing too. But their hooks lacked the catchiness of v6. Personally, I wish they had made more albums. Besides they had a killer album jacket.....Girls in the locker room always did it for me.. | |

I have the 12" of S-E-S-E-Sex.
I bought it cuz I felt like it would be Prince like just basedon the album cover; I don't tihnk Iknew it was Andre's group. I never heard the rest of the album.  |

I've got it and I like several tracks, especially "S-E-S-E-X", Don't Waste My Time", and "Girl Talk". Andy is a four letter word. | |

Don't waste my time is the jam. I think it's a good cathy little album. I wish they would have done more. Love the album cover by the way! I wonder what ever happend to them? | |
