I can't stand the Carmen Electra haters! Seriously I LOVE Carmen Electra. It annoys me when so many Prince fans trash her. Just because Prince and her had a falling out doesn't mean that all his fans can't like her.
I think she is beautiful, glamorous and very feminine. My FAVORITE type of Prince girl. She seems like a very nice person too. And you know her album and outtakes were funky. Her music is fun to dance to and I don't really think it is the "embarrasment" that everyone thinks it is. And when it comes to hip hop style dancing Carmen OWNS that shit! She is just one of the best dancers I've seen do that style. She even puts my girl Mayte to shame in that department. Ok I just wanted to say my peace.  | |

Why should it make a difference to your enjoyment of Carmen if other people don't see in her what you see? Why should all Prince fans like ALL the women associated with Prince, merely because those women were, at one time, associated with him?

I think she's boring. I think musically she also is boring, and not very talented.There is nothing about her I find remotely unique or interesting. I also find her looks to be very plastic looking, in that generic, Playboy magazine way. Lastly, imo she comes across as an airhead and rather trashy.  I certainly don't "hate" her -- I just don't care and I don't seek her out.
And I don't mean to sound rude, but *I* think it's a childish attitude to expect everybody else to share your personal opinion on someone or something, or to like someone or something just because your idol likes/liked them/it. THAT'S childish, imo (not saying that applies to you. just stating generally speaking) So Carmen appeals to you and you enjoy her. Great. She's not going to appeal to everybody, Prince fan or no. So what? I like a lot of stuff that other people hate or don't understand why I like it, but yet somehow I still continue enjoying that stuff anyhow. [Edited 2/24/06 15:41pm] | |

And she's done nothing but prove that with every move she's made since she left the Prince camp. She seeks out high profile men and uses them to get publicity to further her career. She went from Prince to B Real (who was a popoular rapper at the time), then she married Dennis Rodman for five seconds (who coincidentially was a very high profile basketball player at the time). She then hooked up with Dave Navarro (whose always been in popular bands in Janes Addition and The Red Hot Chili Peppers). And if I'm not mistaken she even managed to work in a fling with Fred Durst (when he was super popular). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

tripp'in, did someone "call my name", anyway, i wanna add to this. i love her and i wish her and dave would split so she would marry me, and i ain't "the marrying kind". i think she showed alot of potential and talent (among other things) but if paisley park would have continued with her or vis versa she would have gotten better. now i agree that the whole album had it's low points but so does every prince, time, sheila e, wendy and lisa, etc etc etc.
but nobody seems to really be (pardon me here) tripp'in over them. so all in all i will agree with this post, she is beautiful, has talent, and can dance rings around anyone that would dare step on stage with her. hear that micheal and janet..... noituloveR lautiripS weN a fo gninwaD eht si sihT | |
