I believe she said "your right!" as in--correct. You wouldn't say "your" you would say "you're" as in "you are right." So, in short you're wrong... biggrin

i agree with all of you except we dont know if he was doing the wrong or her if they are seperated...so you know.. maybe they just dont you know have that thing ..which hoestly i didn't see in the first place, him and mayte man they lite the room up when they were together..there was justification in the envy felt.

it happens people go on different pages in a marriage..relationships are hard. at times they are work..as well as bliss.

Your right! Maybe I shouln't have phrased it that way. I mean he's got a history of doing things like this and it's sad. I don't know if he's still married or not, but it's wrong for him to preach one thing in his life and do another. People notice actions more than words and if P is serious about his relationship with God he shouldn't do these things because other people see these actions and think that it's okay-when it's not okay to disrespect your wife or anybody for that matter. So, I apologize for my terminology about the issue wink .

it happens people go on different pages in a marriage..relationships are hard. at times they are work..as well as bliss.

Problems in a marriage are rarely solely one person's fault. They both contribute to the problem.

calling Tamar 'Sexual Chocolate" during their concert.I don't know. Something is definitely up.

Wait a minute. You mean he went from calling Tamar "baby sister" to calling her "sexual chocolate" ? lol

"sexual chocolate" is taken from an Eddie Murphy movie "Coming to America" where the performer says "Thank you, throws the microphone down and walks off the stage". The Band was called Sexual Chocolate. It has nothing to do with Tamar, just with what she did. Go rent the movie and you will see what i am talking about. So there is no need to be giving Prince the evil "something fishy" eye for saying Sexual Chocolate. It was a joke.

Probly because Gamillah is arabic so it is the same theme ?

I meant that her mom is egyption, so that's why she chose to name the company gamillah, but why not choose an italian word? Seems a bit weird with all the arabic vibe and none of the italian one...
to be frank the whole egyption business makes me think of that interview with P and Mayte (was it oprah?) where Mayte said that they had met in a past life..and there was a connection to egypt.

I mean Mani is obviously CANADIAN so it just seemed a bit queer to me. shrug

and...It's funny that her site seems to address the separation rumor going around the fansites. Why else would anyone reading her biography on that site know or even care who she is married to? wink

I can imagine that a person born in one country can still hold on the cultures of their immigrant parents, not much unlike in the US with 1st generation Americans whose parents might come from Jamaica or Cuba or anywhere from across the pond.

As for the Eygypt-Italy identification, who knows why one will choose one word over another when you have the influence of two cultures in your household. I do know from having lived in Italy that they have a close immigrant relationship between Italy and North Africa (because the physical proximity is about a one hour flight), so there's definitly a HUUUUUGE cultural mesh bewteen Italy and palces like Egypt, Morocco, and Tunesia because they've mixed and mingled for a long time now...

I have to add though, that I have seen alot of PR bios where people mention their spouses' names. It's kind of old school though, so people aren't doing it as much as they used to back in the day. It really could be something as simple as The Gamillah Inc. people working older folks and them using this more conservative (slightly archaic) format of bio, whereas maybe working with a younger, de regiuer PR specialist like Lizzie Grubman would probably make no mention of the husband at all (unless she was doing the bio for a PR event)....

I still say kudos for the site and the business effort. I like seeing young women start companies and also try to be socially responsible where they can...it's not a bad thing at all...

I hope you're right about her trying to do good. However, the whole arabic vibe and 'mentioning' of who her husband is just rubs me the wrong way.
I hope she won't be filling landfills with her whole candles and yoga mats line of 'well-being' products. smile

OH MY WORD - I just checked the site again and it says "Con Affeto, Manuela Testolini Nelson" AW LAWD lol lol lol That was NOT there before...was it???

OK another edit, Mani has addressed all our concerns...check this out:

http://www.iapw.org/newsItem.asp?p=448

She's explained her Sundance gifties, let us know that she's been in Africa for 4 weeks and there's video of her at an event with kids in Minneapolis to prove that she's doing stuff with her own hands.

Good for you!

Yea, I can kind of see where you're coming from about the mentioning of her husband, but I think it's only because of who he happens to be. I always see it done that way. Even when you look at the introductions of the other team members of the In A Perfect World foundation, their spouses and children were mentioned too.

I hear ya, it really is all about walking the walk after you talk the talk...

The only thing I don't get is, why would her choosing to use Arabic rub anybody the wrong way? She's half Egyptian (i.e. Arabic African, from a nation that was not colonized by the French , having French as the first language). Should she deny her mama's culture over the Italian half, or.....? I wouldn't imagine in Canada, Europe,or North Africa folks would expect her to choose one culture over the other if she were forming a company with an international perspective or insight...I always find it interesting that in America, you are always forced to choose one culture over another even if you're kinda like a mixed goulash of a person firmly entrenched in your own rich mixture of cultural experiences.

That is not only in America so.

... that is in many places.

It's all moot now anyway - didn't you all read my post? It doesn't say 'Salaam, Manueula..." It NOW says "Con Affeto, Manuela..."

Please all those European stereotypes about American's are so tired. Stop making generalizations. confused
I told you why the arabic vibe annoyed me in my previous posts.

MORE IMPORTANTLY what do you all think of Mani's new site detailing and explaining her activities?

Thanks Manuela for reading my posts and addressing my concerns! wink
