recently I listened to a song of the SOS-Band. I really liked it but somehow it reminded me of "Gigolos Get Lonely Too"- yea, I´m talkin bout the SOS-Bands "Weekend Girl". they ripped off!! noticing that, I remembered the story of Terry Lewis and Jimmy Jams departure from the time (cuz they where workin with the SOS Band). was there somekind of rivality between these 2 bands? which one is better in your opinion, and why?

i'm not familiar with that particular SOS track, but Jam & Lewis produced and wrote most of their material.

So it's not surprising they sound like the Time.

Actually, I have SOS Band "Sands of Time" which is a great album. A lot of the production sounds like Janet's Control, which is also Jam & Lewis (e.g. the drum sounds, the keyboard sounds.....the overall production feel etc.).

man, u won´t believe what happened today. I went to a record store, looking at old LPs, and guess what I found: "Sands of time" in perfect condition for 1 Euro !! huahahaha...
