Tyra Banks at Prince's club I read somewhere that Tyra Banks started out as a waitress or something at P's Glam Slam.

Confirmed. I use to edit Tyra's film when she was a wee thing modeling for German mail order conglomerates. She was a favorite for catalog junior and missy fashions, and used to clock about $3,000 US a day for her trouble. The clothes were horrendous (think worse than Sears), but was making mucho dough long before she was out of her teens..... | |

I heard Bill Gates was a waiter there and James Brown was the bathroom attendant. 
Maybe somebody is getting their black models mixed up? I don't know what Veronica Webb was doing during her downtime from modeling.  Maybe that's who was mistaken for Tyra? (although I don't see how) I know she performed with Sonny's group "The Crayons" on tha "The Ryde Divine" show back in the early 90s. | |
