What song is this? Is it a BrownMark written and performed number? Or a song Mark wrote for somebody else? I'm all for discovering lost Minneapolis Sound gems..

Levi wrote this? I didn't dig up the 12" to check, I was just sure that Prince didn't write it. That's wild. A bass player getting to write for another bass player. Cool. Anyway, I like it. I think its a good track. Someone called it paint-by-numbers funk on here before yet musically, there is nothing like it in the Prince discography. Prince usually keeps his basslines simple and gets elaborate with his add-ins. This was the first MN funk track that I heard that let the bass cut loose, thus seperating BrownMark's style from Prince's.
