ALONE makes the A6 album
worth a spin...

I found myself torn between a decision

it goes to Vanity 6

although I liked Apollonia
(visually) better...

I like Vanity 6 better.

I perfer the apollonia 6 album more. I just like the songs better. But I do like Vanity 6 too. WHY O WHY DO YOU MAKE ME CHOOSE???

I was listening
to these albums back to back
yesterday
(I burned them both onto one disc)
and I changed my mind

I actually do like
the Apollonia 6 album better

but from the Vanity 6 album
"Bite The Beat","Make Up"
and "Drive Me Wild"
are in my top 10 Starr Company
tracks though
I LOVE LOVE LOVE those 3 songs!

Vanity 6. Because I had to have it on CD.

i like the songs on a6 and the production on v6. also, v6 didn't seem, to me, to be as much of a farce - the whole a6 thing looked and silly. apples is just not a compelling personality. a beautiful woman, but rather blah.

Hard to say.

V6..... Vanity is a better performer (not sure if I should say "singer")... you buy the sexiness from her....

More importantly, the Time is playing the music right? Or at least it's Prince playing hte music "as the Time".

Bu tI only like 2 songs: Nasty Girl and IF A Girl Answrs (brilliant music). I think Terry Lewis co-wrote it which makes sense given the song is built around the bass line.

A6..... the production is more "protege like"..... not as The TIme like. Still good of course.

I like more songs though: Sex Shooter, Blue Limousine, and Some Kinda Lover.

I only have Vanity 6 on CD (thanks to COlumbia House!) which is rare.. I don't have Apples 6 on CD though ..... but I made MP3s out of my vinyl.

With that said, A6's "A Million Miles (I Love You)" is a song I've been missing for years. That album had a lot of drive to it.

Vanity 6! Nasty Girl alone is worth the price of the cd. If you don't think so, it's only because you're burned out from hearing it so many times. HE'S SO DULL was cool too. Had kind of a 50's vibe. A6 had some good jams too. But v6 had that attitude...

definitely Vanity 6.It's simply a more interesting,groundbreaking album.Songs like "Drive Me Wild" and "Make Up" are edgy,New Wave-styled tracks,while the hilarious "If A Girl Answers (Don't Hang Up)" could almost be considered an early rap song by females.Something else: Vanity is much more convincing as a "nasty girl".She plays this role extremely well.

The Apollonia 6 album has some good songs,but the album is uneven."Blue Limousine" is the highlight,but nothing else comes close.It's hard to take silly songs like "Happy Birthday Mr.Christian" and "Ooh She She Wa Wa" seriously.

I never listen to "Happy Birthday Mr. Christian"

wow, this is difficult. well i've had the vanity 6 cd for about 2 years and and love it but i recently got the apollonia 6 cd and i can't get enough. i might have to got with apples for being a bit more consistant with the execption of the last song on that album.
