I just recently got a copy of this and my god this shit is bad! i love it. Blue limosine, she she wa wa, happy biirthday mr. christian all rock. What are your thoughts on this album??

I've always loved this album on the whole, except for In A Spanish Villa which I find to be exceedingly annoying.

Blue Limosine is a real gem.

It's cool. But, my favorite track on the whole album is "In A Spanish Villa". But most of that album is The Revolution as in Brown Mark, Lisa and Fink. They go uncredited on a lot of what u hear on that album. But yeah, overall, it's funky. Patty can't sing to save her life, though.

Me being a guitarist, and Santana being one of my influences, I LOVE P's playing on this. He really echoes Carlos bigtime on this and I dig it. Always have. It's not for everybody.

Matt Fink and Wendy has said that they (The Revolution) all voiced their opinion about why in the world was P wasting his time with Patty. Even P himself lost interest in the project even though the material was good. That's what Susan Rogers said.

Did Apollonia 6 ever "perform" live?

I know that they sometimes joined the encore during the PR tour..... but did they ever do a club date or something like Vanity 6 did?

I know Patty has said she was never a singer, rather an actress playing the part of a singer.

But curious if Prince ever put them out in front of an audience.

I think it would be great for Family Jamm 2 to have Apples reunite with Brenda and Susan and do Sex Shooter, Blue Limousine and Some Kinda lover (heck they could do Nasty Girl too! ).

I know LABF (now Eleveate Hope) is a charity, but Sex Shooter isn't that much racier than I feel 4 U or Mia Bocca if you think about it, and Chaka and Jill ang those respectively last time.

I remember I found this cassette tape at Target like when I was twelve! Omg I went so crazy listening to it every day after school. I loved that eighties sound and with my percocious mind the sexually charged lyrics intriged me.

But I thought Apollonia was SO sexy, beautiful and feminine! I was SO obsessed with her! I just thought she was what a sexy woman was and I wanted to be that SO bad when I was a little girl!

Don't get me wrong Krys. Apples/Patty was FINE! You'll never hear me say she didn't look good. But the little credibilty Vanity 6 had was GONE after Patty joined. The songs on Apple6 are very good. Great production by P and the Revolution. One thing that soften P's image was the fact that Vanity was gone. Her and Prince had that dark ass vampire cult shit going and that would have been a strong element in the movie Purple Rain. Therefore, that element would have carried over onto Vanity6's follow-up. There would have been no "Take Me With U" and may have been a different duet with P and Vanity. Perhaps in the vein of some "Darling Nikki" shit. It would have been a MUCH darker film, like it was originally intended, that's for sure.
