I heard that the Time will be on the upcoming Tom Joyner Show.

In Houston, I know it airs 2:00 AM Saturday night or Sunday mornnig (which ever you prefer)

Hhmm... Prince on Saturday Night Live followed by the Time later that night?
PRINCE: Always and Forever

Finally I had the chance to hear the Time on Tom Joyner Show.

They were funky and kicked some arse. They played Gigolos Get Lonely Too, The Walk, Jungle Love, and the Bird.

I wished Jesse was there playing the solo guitar on Jungle Love instead the Time's current guitarist but nevertheless they blow up in South Carolina. Also Morris cracked me up when after he played Gigolos Get Lonely Too he asked the crowd what do they want to hear next. Some said The Bird while other said The Walk. But Tom wanted to hear the band play The Walk and Morris sang "It's the Tom Joyner Show" and decided to play The Walk for Tom. I love The Walk and that is one of my favorite Time songs. The catchy and dance groove.

I can't wait for the 3121 tour. What a dream lineup would be: Prince, Tamar, Sheila E, and the Time. I hope Prince and Time comes to Indianapolis this summer because if they do here I come.

I started recording it but then I turned my tape off because I liked their performance that I recorded from "The Tom Joyner Morning Show" in Milwaukee a few years ago much better. That Milwaukee audience was loud and having a really good time. Tom has so damn many sponsors these days that he's always going to a commercial break. When the show returns, a song is already in progress.

My favorite was when Tom's lady cohosts were saying "Morris still looks good. The Time looks like they just stepped out of 'Purple Rain'. I was expecting Prince to come riding up on a motorcycle". Then she went on to say "The Time looked like they just stepped out of 'Under The Cherry Moon'". I would love for some of the people around here that swear that "Parade" was all that to hear those ladies. It just goes to show how much the world outside of prince.org really loved that era. The Time wasn't even in "Under The Cherry Moon" and no one corrected them, not Tom, the audience, or even The Time themselves. evillol

For real he does. And speaking of having a lot of sponsors, whenever I be in the BlackAmericanWeb listening to his show, his site has full of pop-ups by his sponsors and for a minute there I thought my blocker was off. Anyway I agreed about the audience they were excited but at the same time not really excited or loud.

I love Tom. He's funny as hell, I agreed with him on certain issues and that man loves funk just as I do. biggrin
