Book From Associated Artist Dez wrote a book about his experience with Prince. It was ok, somewhat insightful. I was REALLY looking forward to Vanity's book, but it never happened. So I was thinking.... out of all the Assoc. Artist which do you think would have a more exciting book? Andre Cymone, Jesse Johnson, Morris, Jill Jones, Wendy & Lisa, Etc?
Personally, Vanity's would be by number one pick, but a book by Jesse or Andre would run a close second. Just wondering what the org thought, or who would you pick.

this is an interesting question. i would only be happy with another "prince related" book if it shed new light on anything. I've had quite enough of the re-hashed stories. i would be interested in Dez's book for the following reasons; he's a genuinely nice man with a nice family and i like him(teehee) and because he was in princes first band, there from the ground floor, so to speak, and i always find that stuff more interesting. also, he's a wonderful guitarists/muso so i would love to hear his thoughts and opinoins on prince as a musician. dez's style has always sounded more "ballsy- rock" prince plays more melodic "santana - type" rock. so i'd lover to know more about dez's view.
tales by former flames aren't that appealing to me. i mean, i can't say that i'd pass up a book from one of them, but it's none of my business all that sexual stuff. besides, you can gather a pretty good indication of what he's like to live with(in and out of bed) by piecing together what has already been said about prince as a lover. for my part i understand prince to be: a severe to moderate control freak excessivley vain mostly a "traditional" lover w/ an average size penis tender hearted but is not always willing to be expressive and extraordinarly Narcissistic that's enough for me as someone who will never know first-hand. bring on the music!! Damn, I have several names in mind who I want to hear some stories from;
Jill Jones Lisa (without Wendy) Andre Cymone Morris Day Rosie Gaines but my number one choice is I wanna hear from the brutha with no lines on Purple Rain and that is Brownmark. The second choice is Dr. Fink because the man had been with Prince the longest and I bet that he have some stories to tell like no other.

The comments he made about their sexuality goes back to when they were working for him. I just think they were waiting until their agreements expired.

A confidentuallity contract they can talk about anything But PRINCE. I'm sure Dez had to sign a confidentuallity contract as well, but his book was released and i've heard of no backlash or lawsuits from the Prince camp towards Dez. So again I ask the org which associated artist would have the most interesting book?

So again I ask the org which associated artist would have the most interesting book? the confidentiality contract was not used until after The Revolution as far as I can tell..thats why Eric Leeds, Wendy and others of that error are free to say whatever they want.
