Does it really matter who a person is really with? The main point is that they are happy. Tell you the truth, I don't know much about Mani -- and I have really lost touch with Prince's music since he divorced Mayte-- but never the less.

I am a big John Lennon fan, and many people don't like Yoko because she "broke up the beatles". If I do or not, that doesn't matter? The point is that the person is happy, famous or not.

Yes, ex girlfriend, ex wives, and ex lovers they come and go througout our lives... and we may compare Prince's work with Mayte and Mani and how good or bad they may be while he was with them... but he is at a different point in his life with them. He may not feel the same way or do the same thing with one of them as he may have done with the other person.

Yeah Mayte is beautiful in her own right, as well as Mani.

Does it really matter?! We should just respect Prince's choice in life. We may not agree with it, but so who really cares! It's his life, and he has to live it. Not us. What happened or didn't happen with Prince and Mayte is between them. Now she is doing what ever she is doing, and Prince is with Mani. You may not like it; Just respect it!

ARG 1. I t isn't a red herring arguement at all.

Counter: Lets Define.

Red Herring Argument: introducing irrelevant facts or arguments to distract from the question at hand. Referring to any kind of diversionary tactic, such as presenting relatively unimportant arguments that will use up the other debaters' speaking time and distract them from more important issues. This kind of a red herring is a wonderful strategic maneuver with which every debater should be familiar. Cited : American Parliamentary Debate Association (APDA).

A. The argument “News Flash: She didn’t write those lyrics” is fallacious in that I made no such claim. Thereby your contention was that you thought I was… otherwise why would there be such urgency in calling it a new flash. Offering it as some kind of working truth and elevating its importance to such urgency is clearly done to detract and offer a relatively unimportant argument to serve as distraction. By claiming this a second time you committed a double herring as a distraction to your new third argument.

ARG 2. “SORT OF?” a red herring argument either is or it isn't...

Counter: What is funny here was that since I didn’t want to attempt to prove what your intention was in falsely claiming Mani wrote those words…I used the diplomatic term, “sort of” in order to reduce the argument’s importance and stymie any further debate.

Sub-counter: However in your zeal to discredit me again you will note that although you assumed I was offering my irony (a form of humor) at the expense of saying Mani wrote those lyrics, you inadvertently tipped your hand by saying ““You threw Prince's lryics out as if they had anything to do with Mani.” Here you are telling all that you too knew I was offering up a Prince Lyric as Mani’s thoughts… and how could I mistakenly quote them as Mani’s when I knew fully, as you tell us, that they are “Prince Lyrics.

Conclusion: What was once diplomatic speak with “sort of” is now an open and shut case of Red Herring proven by your own words. However, I can offer some data that may suggest that Mani is herself a Vegan and thus since Prince is she might care what he thinks on that matter. In addition, I can offer data that may prove that he is overly controlling in his business and personal relations. This is what I was implying because if everyone was working with a set of beliefs that Prince was not controlling my irony would be less funny.

I would be willing to bet your only argument that “they don’t,” would be because since no one knows what their relationship is like because they are not there is not considered “evidence.”
