All my tapes! I had store-bought cassettes of Apollonia 6, Glamorous Life, Romance 1600, The Family, Ice-Cream Castles, Wild Animal etc in a box in my office. Our housemate's cat used the box to do his business for a few days before I noticed and ruined the lot

That sucks. Ice Cream Castle and The Glamorous Life are fairly easy and cheap to replace on CD. But for those others you might have to look for replacement tapes on ebay. The CDs go for way too much $$$.

That sucks! My parent's cat did that once to my scrapbook of newspaper clippings of me playing basketball and my junior prom corsage. Not as bad as Prince tapes, but irreplaceable just the same.
Damn Cats! The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Damn Cats! I would think your scrapbook would be more irreplaceable. It isn't that hard to find the cassettes again online. The CDs however, are a different story.

I guess so...I'm over my high school "glory days" so I don't care anymore (although I was hella pissed at the time! ). I think losing the Prince tapes are worse b/c they are a lot more in demand than newspaper clippings of me and therefore more difficult & expensive to replace! The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found.
