I would consider their best work together would be the "Affair" disc. In my opinion, Cherrelle had a very underrated voice. Jam & Lewis's earlier work before Affair did not do enough to capture the true essence of her voice. Also, she lacked that stage prescence to cross over more into pop. Cherelle had several r&b top 10 hits with Jimmy & Terry. I think they should have continued working together after Affair. "Everything I miss at home" & "Saturday Love" are classics.

Ahhh...me loves me some Cherelle. I honestly feel like Jam & Lewis' best work were with her, Alexander Oneal and SOSBand...
but for some reason, Jam&Lewis have major issues with making an album flow...Affair has some solid, underrated gems but the second half of the disc feels out of place with the rest and weighs the album down... I think Alexander ONeal's Hearsay and Janet Jackson's Control are the only two consistent albums that Jam & Lewis have done...

Cherelle's Affair album was one of my non-Prince Top 3 favorites for several years. I used to listen to that album over and over and over again. I certainly liked it more than I liked Control by Janet Jackson, which was also a good album.

Cherelle is a beautiful woman, a great singer, & she showed some AWSOME cleavage on the cover of her last album..
(I forget the title..) Her 1st album with Jam & Lewis was quite solid, I liked the song "Fragile" I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS.. | |

I think AFFAIR was their best outing with Cherrelle. I used to play "Everything I Miss At Home" so much. I bought that single the day it came out. I couldn't get enough of it. Beautiful melody and it was arranged very nicely. Surely one of Jam And Lewis's masterworks. The whole album was great though. Great uptempo dance tunes and good ballads showcasing Cherrelle's vocal ability.
