Are Jill Jones and Prince cool again? I been hearing about Prince is reaching out to the people that he hurted in the past and I want to know had he also made up with Jill jones despite he screwed her big time?
That one of Prince's biggest fuck ups is giving more opportunities to pretty girls with no talent such as Carmen and Apples. I felt had he promote Jill like he should, I think Jill's first album would been more sucessful. I know Jill still have some love for Prince with her appeared on PR 20th cd and also the Family Jamm but I am uncertain if she willing to put the past behind her since Prince screw her far worst than some of his other associates.

I just curious are they on speaking terms right now it seems like in the interview she made just seven years ago that Jill sound angry and bitter at Prince and also especially she was hurted that he didn't send any codolence about the death of her uncle who was Prince's hairdresser in the mid 80s.

well, she attended the Family Jamm which many thought Prince would be attending (including Sheila E up until the last minute). Space for sale...

Jill must have show up out of the respect for Prince's musicanship and also likely to support Sheila E.'s charity, but i am still wondered had they made up on a personal level? I do kicked myself at times of not attending the Family Jamm event and I hope that there is going to be another one soon.

She mentioned that she thought it was cold on Prince's part that he didn't acknowledge the passing of her Uncle Earl who did Prince's hair for years. I forget where I seen this quote but she said that he didn't even send the family a card and she thought that was pretty messed up.

Yeah I know that she was pissed that Prince didn't acknowledge the passing of her uncle and I also know much of the fallout between her and Prince starting around 1989. I don't think that Jill will be easy to forgive him like the other associates have when Prince reached out to them. She happened to be one of the associates that he hurted the most.

Prince doesn't really care about anybody but himself.

I think that's true of everyone. Psychological egoism. We all start off like that. Some of us, however, take longer to grow beyond it than others. Life is about evolution...physically and spiritually. Prince has had some tough breaks in life. But at least he's trying to transcend them and be a better person. That's what his conversion was all about. For all his musical talent and good looks, Prince is only human. As such, he's susceptible to the same frailties as everyone else. Instead of castigating him for his mistakes, I'd rather commend him for trying to make atonement... [Edited 12/9/05 7:35am]

I recently heard that he reconcile with the people he hurted: like Dez, Sheila E and even Wendy and lisa. I even heard he want Brownmark to be part of some tour in 2000, but I think he declined because Prince wanted him to lose weight. Okay that wasn't a good start for a truce.
but whatabout jill jones.

She should have been the lead singer of 6 (Jill 6), instead of an ghost member. Brenda and her are the only ones who sounded good. Susan, vanity and later on apollonia were just eye-candy. Does anyone else besides me, think Brenda would have been perfect singing the minnieapolis type funk song Automatic by the pointer sisters?

Who cares? Jill Jones is one of the most disposable Prince associates in history. Call me when Prince and Dez are talking again.

Anyway while Prince was doing a musicology tour, he and Dez happened to ran into each other and reunited and Dez even said that himself during an interview. Go look it up at Housequake and he and Prince are on good terms now. And you claimed yourself to be a Dez fan.

Yeah I know that she was pissed that Prince didn't acknowledge the passing of her uncle and I also know much of the fallout between her and Prince starting around 1989. Jill was pissed with the whole 'Graffiti Bridge' project.Apparently,Prince had promised her that her role would be bigger, but when she saw the final script, she went berserk. Her role was so minor that she could have just phoned it in,lol. Then there were disagreements about the direction of her second album, which Prince was producing in 1989.Several songs were recorded and even a video was shot, but Jill wasn't too crazy about the tracks. The album was cancelled. She wanted to move on and start over on a new label, but her Paisley Park contract prevented her from leaving.I think she wasn't allowed to record any music for seven years. In 1995,without a record deal, she worked as a backup singer for the disco band Chic.
