This is the complete tracklist for 'Corporate World':

Murph Drag
Nine Lives
Donald Trump (Black Version)
Love Machine
Data Bank
Shake
Corporate World
The Latest Fashion
Release It
My Summertime Thing

'Corporate World' was billed as a Time album, but in reality,it is really a collaboration between Prince,Morris Day and Jerome Benton. The other members of the original line-up weren't involved with the project at this time.Recorded in the summer of 1989,the album was set to be released on November 14,1989 with "Nine Lives" planned as the first single. However, the project was put on hold when Warner Bros. wanted to involve all the original members of the Time. After a meeting with Prince,it was decided that Jesse Johnson,Monte Moir,Jimmy Jam and Tery Lewis should participate and take an active part by writing and recording new tracks for the revised album, which later was renamed Pandemonium. These additional recording sessions took place in late 1989-this time without much input by Prince."Murph Drag","Nine Lives" and "Corporate World" remain unreleased, but these songs are circulating on bootlegs.

A lot people seem to like the original Corporate World configuration, but I think it was a good call from Warner Bros. to bring in the other original members. I like the new tracks by Jimmy, Terry and Jesse a lot more than the unused Prince ones and even the the Time tracks on Graffiti Bridge.

I don't like the fact that the chorus is sung by a bunch of background singers.

No, the 'Pandemonium' album is out of print now and the tracks "Murph Drag", "Nine Lives" and "Corporate World" are still unreleased.

Warners should have stayed out of it. The Time was a Paisley Park group and the songs that were released as singles were the Prince tracks anyways. 'Chocolate' would have done better if they hadn't remixed the video like they did.(another remixed Prince penned jam was Patti LaBelle's 'Yo Mister')

I don't understand what you mean. There were a lot of Paisley Park groups for whom Prince didn't write all the music.

I think "Chocolate" was a poor choice for a single.A better follow-up to "Jerkout" would have been the title track ("Pandemonium") or "It's Your World".

Who said anything about who writes for Paisley Park, my point is Warners should not have forced Jam, Lewis and Jesse on Prince's side project with Morris & Jerome.

I strongly disagree, I wouldn't even include those songs on any 'greatest hits', 'best of' or anything that would represent The Time!

If Warners cares so much about The Time where is their 'greatest hits' or 'best of'?

It will be released right after the remastered Prince CDs. It's all Prince's music really.

But then it wouldn't have really been a "Time" album, dontcha think? It would have just been a Morris Day solo album featuring Jerome, and produced by Prince.

A greatest hits CD by the Time is long overdue.I can't believe that there isn't a compilation by now.

Actually, the title track was planned as the second single but at the last minute,Warners chose "Chocolate" instead. They should have went with their earlier choice, because "Chocolate" bombed as a single.

What I meant was the singles that were released were the Prince songs, so what was the purpose of insisting that Jam, Lewis & Jesse were included on this production. Most of The Time's Cds are just Prince & Morris anyways. Jam & Lewis never wrote for The Time before, Morris Day maybe but not The Time. Daydreaming was the worst Cd for Morris (produced by Jam & Lewis) up until Pandemonium. So again, what was the purpose of Jam & Lewis?

Do U really think Pandemonium would have done better? Maybe they sould have picked Donald Trump (Black Version) or Sometimes I Get Lonely. I just think if wasn't 4 the rotten remixed video for Chocolate, it would have done better.

'Sometimes I Get Lonely' is Monte Moir joint not Jam & Lewis and is better than most of the songs on CD.
