I saw her when she was drumming with Lionel Richie, just before she hooked up with P, they had to pull her off the drums, then I saw her open the Purple Rain tour, though I was in the nosebleeds

I saw her playing with Prince at the aftershow in June (?) of 2004. After a show at Staples Center. Amazing performance by everyone...Wendy was there too. Well worth waiting until after 1 am to start.

When I was 16, my family and I went to New York for a vacation in 1986. It must have been near 11:00 at night, but we found ourselves at Battery Park. Sheila E. was riding in the back of a limo that circled through and stopped a few feet from us. She waved and gave a big smile. Of course, my parents didn't know who she was... but two years later they got to find out when I dragged their asses to a "Lovesexy" show!!!!

It was about the time of Crush Groove! I am sure my jaw dropped, but I did say "Hey, that's Sheila E., mom!" She was wearing a white fur coat, waved and mouthed the word "Hi" as she rolled her window up.

1994 in Hamburg (GREAT concert with Renato on keys and Eric Leeds on sax)
2002 at Paisley Park...also great show, but Hamburg was better...

Many times. Saw her 6x during Purple Rain in NYC.... Saw her Open for Lionel Ritchie Madison Square Garden, saw Lovesexy in NYC all Nights and in LI, and Chicago Lovesexy 2 nights, Atlantic City, Tramps with Latin Familia, Celebration with Prince 2002 at Paisley Park. I Always Loved her Playing.

My co-worker who was there too in dfiferent seats, who isnt' even really a huge Prince fan, called me later to say how he's been to MSG for 20 years to see Nicks games, Ranger games etc..... and he NEVER saw the crowd go as wild as they did for Sheila! (as they should!)

Sheila played bongos on my bare ass live in a hotel room in Hollywood after a gig in 1988

I've only seen her once. It was earlier this year at the Sisters in the Spirit show in Detroit. She was the leader of the band for a bunch of female gospel singers. She did some singing herself too. It was a strange venue for me. I was so excited to see Sheila, and wanted to stand up and scream when she was introduced, but everyone was pretty much sitting down. By the time she was kicking butt on the drums/percussion, people were standing up, but no one hollered for her like I did when she was doing her amazing solos.
