The same reasoning can be applied to "7" vs. "If I Was Your Girlfriend" although an interesting note about those is that "Girlfriend" was fairly successful on the R&B charts (top 20) whereas "7" did not make that chart at all. interesting. if i was to buy one of those best singles of all time compilations i would defintely go for the R&B one. it amazing that you can seperate american music into white and black so clearly when it comes to audiences | |

i've never heard guaranteed. i'm not THAT impressed with colour of success or daydreaming so i don't think i'll ever hear guaranteed. i more interseted in jesse's work. i think the cover really turns me off too (although i shouldn't judge a book by its cover)     | |

I hate to say it but in this case, judging the book by its cover is a smart thing, hee hee!!

To be honest,I'm not that crazy about any of Morris' solo albums.Too many damn synthesizers!! The Time records were undeniably funky and occasionally stripped down ("777-9311"),but the music on Morris' solo albums is tedious and over-produced.There are only a handful of truly great Morris Day solo songs...

"Fishnet" is my favorite Morris Day song but the album "Color Of Success" is a much better album as a whole. Andy is a four letter word. | |
