Mazarati What was it with that Hideous Mazarati album cover from the 80's. Its enough Prince had a permed mullet and wore his grandmas lampshade and paisley curtains on the Purple Rain Tour, but Brown Mark and co horts looke like some drag creatures let loose in an 80's colours workshop, what is with those Jheri curled mullets for the black guys and permed def Leppard mullets for the white ones. They look like Pratts with BM smiling, his mullet parted over a pink shimmery shoulder padded jacket. What were we thinking in 1985
Oh and dig the makeup its hard to tell whose a guy and whose a girl. Maybe they were ripping off Culture club. My friends have been wetting our pants over it. PS Sheila E's group on Romance 1600 is also quite funny 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince

Yeah
100MPH is a great song, i have it on some tape somewhere, I assume they did do some faster rock/ hair metal type stuff. Still you have to admit, they took that mid 80s look to the extreme 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince

It's pure funk, but there is lots of guitar and a strong rock influence.

Agreed. Also, when I saw Mazarati live at The Palace in 86, they didn't look shit like they did on the cover. Where in the hell is my boy Blaque?! SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

That whole thing looks was so obviously meant to be over the top. Glam rock funk is what describes that whole Mazarati vibe. No other group looked like that. [Edited 10/16/05 10:44am]
