I recall a 1995 USA Today interview where Jody talked about their breakup.She claimed that Andre wanted to keep their marriage a secret,a decision that she disagreed with.The two of them had a child together.

I saw Jody Watley 2 years ago at Joe's Pub in New York City. They way how she discussed her marriage that she was bitter towards Andre.She did not mention his name though but everyone knew who she was talking about. Andre was player with the ladies . She performed one song pertaining to him and that was " I'm The One You Need".It seems like he really hurt and she hs bounced back from her marriage and she is much stronger. I f anyone knows the lyrics to the song you know she is talking about being independent, she pays her own bils, pay own rent and that he needs her not the other way around.
