It's a very long story but Prince was very much involved in the closing of Controversy.

i used to get the magazine delivered, i went down to a prince convention that she did in 1987 in london and met her there, very nice lady....shame what happened.....i remember she sent me a book called "purple reign" for nothing when i was a skint teenager... hope u r doing ok eileen.
