EROICA.

hands down the most varied, interesting WENDY & LISA album. in my opinion EVERY track is good except "don't try to tell me" & that 1 isn't that bad.

run - don't walk - to get this 1.

They're all good.
But the first one will always be my favorite.

SKELTON KEY IS THE JAM

& I love RAINBOW LAKE too - a "quirky" slice of funk that somehow reminds me of Bootsy..
I mean, I always imagine HIM playing the bass on this song for some reason..

FRUIT AT THE BOTTOM!

It is THE best ex paisley album. Eroica is great (especially Skeleton Key and Don't try to tell me) but was always less complete.

It's has to be their debut "Wendy & Lisa"...that whole album was the shit. Althought my favorite single by them is STILL "Are You My Baby." That shit is fownkay!

It is GirlBros! hmph!

The first one was alright, nothing spectacular. biggrin

Fruit at the Bottom was better and then for many years Eroica was the best. nod

Then Friendly Fire turned out to be a bore, so instead we got GirlBros. It's wonderful. woot!

I'm still waiting for more. The original score for Soulfood which they once posted on their website was alright, but I mean SONGS! razz

A [color=darkred]combination of Eroica and Fruit At The Bottom.

Satisfaction with Jesse was kewl and I Think It Was December.

Why Wait For Heaven, Mother Of Pearl and Staring At The Sun are my faves from Eroica

I think all their cd's had a couple of great songs in each one. I dont really have a favorite cd. I think FF, although not technically a completed album, would have had decent airplay had it seen the light of day (for that time). I will happily await a new cd that I know will be filled with sounds not expected of your typical W&L cd. Here's to progress....

My favorite album is girlsbro because i felt that they poured all their heart to that one and also i felt that they also challenged themselves on this album and not to mention this album isn't easy to make since dedicated to the death of wendy's brother jonathan. and wow next year it going to be ten years for jon.

also their first three albums i like only two or three songs off their albums and most the songs that i like were like pop, funk, or like soft rock.

i never heard of friendly fire one and i wish that i can but i don't know who has one.

i suggested that you listen to all their four albums and then you decided! lol

Friendly Fire is a mismash of a bootleg. The best is the tape I got from a record company exec that I have had for years that they never released.

well now since everlastingnow happens to be the biggest wendy and lisa fan of all of course he is going to like all of wendy and lisa's albums equally. he even was the one who ran a wendy and lisa magazine (girlbros?) back in the late 90s and then too bad that i was a broke high schooler to order them.

hey everlastingnow i am glad that you are back and it have been awhile since i see you posting on here, man. wave

You're going to end up getting all four anyway so you might as well get them in chronological order:

1. Wendy And Lisa
2. Fruit At The Bottom
3. Eroica
4. Girl Bros.

And if you are lucky enough to stumble upon the 2CD version of 'Eroica', definitely get that one. There are cool Lisa instrumentals on the second disc.

Right here:

So which is the best for a newbie to get start with..?

'Is' refers to a singluar subject. If the writer had meant multiple selections, then the question would have been phrased "Which are..."
