I'm sorry, y'all, but this has got to be one of the most bizarrely entertaining threads I've seen on this board: I mean, with all of the show biz tidbits, mystery identities, the humour, the random bawdiness, the clash of egos....shoot! This is better than watching the daily stories or an 80's nightime soap !

Well, well, well..... I try to just hang out and be an observer and see what happens?

I was the singer/percussionist for Robin power & The Uptown Dames.
I 've been watching Artpal's treads from the beginning. It was me who told her to come here and be kind enough to share her stories with you. I like to read the boards, but I am not a heavy poster. She and I are also on HQ.

The stories are real. Believe me. I have a few of my own, but I figured they were giving plenty of fodder to keep it going for a while. They were there at Paisley a bit before I was. I came in when things were already cookin'.

My man checked the threads and informed me about the chat Sunday. Thanks for the invite. I may be on the road. If I am home, I will check it out.

Big shout out to Bassdame! Have fun hanging out. Wish I could be there, too. We'll do it sometime.

She was actually looking to find Robin and the other girls. Maybe your "close personal friend" isn't into posting on these types of boards, but I know the stories are true. I was there, too. I know I just signed onto the board, but my handle exsists on HQ for quite sometime.

Some of those photos posted are mine and I personally gave them to Artpal. I own copies of the other photos her boyfriend took since she sent them to me when the gig was over.

I am sure Artpal & Bassdame aren't aiming to upset anyone, just to entertain and inform.

Wow, I guess I didn't realize they were that much, anyway, it was a great concert and they packed the house on a Tuesday night. What I want to know is, why are drinks so damn expensive in the cities, here I can get a beer for $2.50, and that's high end. Anyway they were great and so was the warm up band (can't remember the name but they were local)

Anyone from MN remember a group (rock band) that used to play in the 80's called Chameleon? If you do, guess who was the keyboardist (hint: think New Age)

Meanwhile, let me tell you the story of Uptown Dame.

Alisa was flown in to be a singer for the group sometime after the project started. Robin showed us her photo and we listened to her tape. When we listened to her singing on tape, we were blown away. Our jaws dropped and we just looked at each other. Man - what a singer. She can do rock, r&b, you name it. I personally think she was the most talented performer of the group.

Then we met her in person...

Kim Arland, right, the dancer was also a model. I think she was the most photogenic of the lot. Other than that, I've lost contact with her.

Anything to add Uptown Dame?
