Well yeah, I once had a white guy and his group of friends repeatedly call me a racist because I wouldn't date him which was and is way off mark. And the funny thing was that we were all very friendly. Out of the blue, the one guy called my house (after getting my number out of the phone book) and put me on the spot asking for a date. When I nicely said no, then all of a sudden I was a racist. I didn't even mention color! I simply wasn't attracted.

I wasn't trying to point the finger at all black guys it's just the ones that I've dealt with on the street tend to be more vocal than other guys.

Yeah me too. Obviously not all black guys are like that. Just the majority of the trashy, thughish ones are like that...but then again there are white, asian, hispanic ect ghetto guys lurking in the streets that are just as agressive. As we know there are classy black guys that act like gentlemen in the world that wouldn't dream of embarrassing a woman like that. In fact there was a black guy that approached me on the street with total polietness and treated me like a lady. He just came up to me and said "Excuse me I don't mean to bother you but I think you are very beautiful....I just wanted to introduce myself..." and he extended his hand. I was poliet back to him. That gets a much better response from me than some guy yelling at me from across the street "HEY BABY YOU HAVE A PHAT ASS!!!" pissed

LOL lol I would prefer a guy talk to me than yelling something crude as well but, I don't think I could ever go out with some stranger that I met on the street no matter how they approached me. I mean, is it me or do guys actually have success picking women up on the street?

I'm well aware that I've received jobs (other than modeling) in the real world because of the way I look, in fact two employers have even told me this.

See you're lucky, I get hit on when I'm either way which is why I get annoyed and bewildered until I was just enlightened, thanks ART PAL biggrin And you're right black guys can be nasty which is kinda scarry to me. I heard of a story years ago I'm not sure if its an urban legend but, some guy was trying to talk to a girl who wouldn't give him the time of day. The guy became so embarrassed because he was in front of his friends that he took out a gun and shot the girl. Like I said I don't know if this story is true but, even when I get annoyed I try not to be mean because you never know.

nod Wow! My best freind just had a very scary incident recently. She was walking by in a club and this guy just grabed her ass. She turned around and punched him so hard in his shoulder she knocked him off his chair right in front of his freinds and was screaming at him. He was so embarrassed he started yelling back and actually raised his fist at her as if to strike her! His friends started holding him back and she was very frightened and angry. What happened to the good old days of slapping a man in the face or throwing a drink in his face when he got out of line and him just taking it like a man????? mad

wow my heart seriously goes out to ya friend. this is the type of thing i hate about guys. some of them can be real cool dudes, but alot of them got this male macho bullshit thing goin on in their heads that i'll NEVER understand. whats so bad about being nice and polite?

Well, the first time was completely obvious I knew my employer and I knew he though I was beautiful before I began working for him but I needed a job so, I didn't think of it as a big deal.

The second time, I was working at a clothing store and my employer a female this time, told me that she only hired pretty girls. At the time I had been on the job for awhile and there was no need to prove myself but, I was a little surprised at her comment.

The third time however, was a little weird. Modeling in the summer gets kinda slow so to bide my time and earn a little cash before my jobs started picking up again, I got a temp job as a receptionist. I figured "hey I can answer phones and mail letters". About two months I went to my employers to tell them I was leaving because my modeling was picking up again, they gave me more money and a promotion to secretary even though I had no experience. It was a bit more difficult but, I proved I could do it and was proud of myself so, I figured I'd had enough and would just model. Well, again they offered me more money and another promotion to executive assistant and office mangaer and again I stayed. For a while they were flexible with letting me leave to do my modeling, so with modeling and this I was making really good money. But eventually, the work of which I had no prior experience was getting harder and harder to the point where I was really stressed out and even missed a modeling assignment because I just had so many other things to worry about. But, eventually I quit the job deciding no amount of money could make me stay. Maybe to them I did a great job but, because that wasn't my background they didn't know that what would take a person with experience a few minutes would take me an hour or more because I was learning as I went along and was maybe I was good at hiding it or maybe they wanted me around only because as I was told, I look good sitting at the front desk.

But to answer your question, it doesn't anger me I mean I do get opportunities that I wouldn't otherwise I don't think it's fair but, it happens.

Oh this is very very common. If you look at who the top executives are, they are usually tall handsome men with hair. Studies have shown that pretty people earn more money, get better jobs, etc. A friend of mine told me she didn't hire one woman who was overweight because part of her job was to meet and greet Europeans, who supposedly would be put off by her weight. Even though she was qualified.

One woman I interviewed was offended by the interviewer's compliment on her looks. It came out of the blue during a job interview. It just made no sense in relation to her qualifications.

It's scary how deep beauty affects life. Yet we hide our heads in the sand believing that it's the inside that counts not the outside. The real phrase should read: it SHOULD be the inside that counts but IN FACT the outside REALLY counts. We're all a bunch of hypocrites.

wow, thats horrible! i hate that things seem to be based 95% on the outside and the other tiny ass 5% on ur insides and brain. why do people HAVE to focus on the outer image all the time? whats so wrong with looking INTO a person?

One woman I interviewed was offended by the interviewer's compliment on her looks. It came out of the blue during a job interview. It just made no sense in relation to her qualifications.

y'kno i dont blame her. i'd probly be offended too, especially if i ended up getting the job, it'd make me wonder why i got it.

Obviously, an education is extremely helpful. But it also helps to know how the world really works when trying to decide how to use your degree. When you know how the world works, then you know how to work it. All this denial about the role of beauty (and all sorts of other prejudices) just won't help. For example, I know that I look like a little harmless Asian girl who is stereotyped as being submissive and therefore can't handle a management job. So what do I do? Screw it - I start my own damned business.

People don't always give preferential treatment to beautiful people on purpose though. Most of it is subconscious. Studies show that teacher's pets are usually the pretty ones, who get more attention in the classroom. Mothers unconsciously show more affection to the prettier child than to the plain one. Even babies and children show preference for the beautiful. Prettier teachers, for example, are more easily perceived as good and competent teachers by the kids. Some scientists claim this is a biological function of survival - prettier means better health and survival, so we better protect and continue that genetic line. I'm not an advocate for this preferential treatment - just telling it like it is. And I think this sucks.

So anyway, that was another commercial. So here's another Prince Robin sex mcnugget: campfire

Prince owned a giant vibrator. I mean huge - my memory says it was like a foot and a half long (maybe bigger???). Too big to put inside. Robin had to sit on it. lol

Bassdame is still trying to come up with something that's not too x-rated. Good luck, Bass.

Some scientists claim this is a biological function of survival - prettier means better health and survival, so we better protect and continue that genetic line. I'm not an advocate for this preferential treatment - just telling it like it is. And I think this sucks.

whoaa, that just made me think of somethin, and i'm not sure if i'm right, but reading that thing about the teachers made me think of something: all the kids that my teachers would seem really into were the pretty ones, either light skinned or with that "good" hair, or long hair etc..

Good luck, Bass.

eek eek eek if THATS what u call an r rated prince nugget than i dont ever think bass is gonna find something! lol
Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
...And i'm gonna be groovy in it!

I never thought about the teacher thing. I hope you're not right. If so, it's sad but, maybe that would explain some things. eek

i know. i hope not too, but that part just really made me think. i remember this one girl, courtney, and we were usually in the same class, and it just seems like when i think back on it (shoot even when it was happening i noticed a bit) it seemed like a lot of teachers fawned over her. it was weird, and she was mixed (blk and indian, but looked more blk) and she was ligth skinned, with long sandy colored hair and she was pretty and i cant help but think now if my teachers fawned over her cuz she was soo pretty or cuz she was smart or wat

Although, I'm not a fan of men using toys on themselves, I don't care if he does or not because I'm not sleeping with him and honestly I wasn't even thinking of that. I was thinking that he owned this toy to use on his women (PLURAL!!) and that to me is gross! But, who knows maybe he kept a seperate one for each girl. biggrin
