Morris Day & The Time performed at the American Music Festival on Saturday night at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. If there is anyone who has never seen their show, RUN don't "do The Walk" to see them. They are awesome! High energy, never missing a beat, great fun, and I can't forget.....FUNKY!!!

These guys clearly enjoy themselves when they perform and crowd participation is a MUST. They took a survey as to who knew them from Purple Rain (lots of hands) and then who knew them from "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back" and noted that they had picked up a lot of fans from that.

I was lucky to get there early enough to get a spot up front at the right side of the stage (facing the stage). I tried to hang around afterwards but I'm too old for that groupie stuff! Mad props to Midnight Funk....he knows why!

Hard to pick a highlight of the night.....it was a non stop JAM!!!!
